Well, the age thing remains a concern with me, Hair. But I certainly would not have been pushing for a first round WR if it were just that, instead just for a first day receiver.

Now? With the extent of the tantrum revealed? It definitely pushes it up the priority chain.

You've got to keep the pipeline full, and receiver has been an afterthought (or at least keeping them has been an afterthought -- miss ya Tab!). We should be drafting at least one WR each draft because they break so damn easily. A round one receiver is no guarantee of long term success in this league (can anyone say DETROIT!). Chad was a second round pick. Other 1,000 yd receivers are

Anquon Boldin 2nd round

Issac Bruce 2nd round

Chris Chambers 2nd round

Terrell Owens 3rd round

Steve Smith 3rd round

Brandon Marshall 4th round

Derrick Mason 4th round

Marques Colston 7th round

Donald Driver 7th round

Wes Welker - UFA

Overall first rounders are a safer bet, but the number of first round busts is an equally large number. This year, I just believe that the stars are finally aligned for us to get a stud DT named Dorsey or Ellis, who'll change the defensive nature of this team for the next 10 years. Let's face it, If we can find a guy in a round other than round 1, that can run and catch, and not break in half, he'll get opportunities to catch the ball on this team. He'll also have the most important ingredients for success in an All-Pro strong armed QB, and other receivers that teams are going to have to account for.

Do they sell insurance for hanging Chad's?
