Pidge
The horribly unmotivated, near death DT from the Lions Shaun Rogers? That would surprise me. It's a big name trade if true. LB in round 1.

Bengals1
Its not officially official.....if that makes sense . But Lance said it was confirmed from his agent but not by the Bengals. From PFT:BENGALS BAG ROGERS by Michael David Smith Michael Smith of ESPN.com is reporting that the Detroit Lions have traded defensive tackle Shaun Rogers to the Cincinnati Bengals. No word is out yet on what the Lions got for Rogers, who had been on the trade block for several weeks and had been rumored to be heading to the Jaguars, Jets and Broncos, among other teams. For the Bengals, acquiring Rogers gives them just the kind of big defensive tackle head coach Marvin Lewis has always employed in his defense. The 340-pound Rogers is in the mold of Sam Adams and Tony Siragusa, the huge defensive tackles who played for the Super Bowl-winning Ravens team on which Lewis served as defensive coordinator. BlainThePain
His stats from last season were 39 total tackles, 26 solo, 7 sacks, 3 pass defenses, and an INT.
GregCook
Is this a sign we're staying in the 4-3?The guy had 7 sacks last year, two years worth for our entire line. He's an improvement. Now at what cost? Probably draft picks.Looks more and more like 3-4 is how they are heading.
Pidge
Well if this turns out to be true then a 26 yr old DT not without a fair amount of talent is a bit alright. Just need to get him to give a s**t. Makes the first round interesting anyway.

Reckon Fanene/Peko might be tried at DE if we do go to a 3-4.

Now that's dipping into the FA market! Considering our comp picks, a 3rd and a 5th isn't that bad.
mgi
3rd and fifth round pick, per hob. I hope we got all of those comp picks.

They could just as easily line his big butt up next to Peko in a 4-3 and that'd be fine with me. If he's the new NT, that's fine, too. Ultimately, a tackle that can get to the QB - something I've never seen in my admittedly young Bengals fandom - has got to be a good thing. This is where someone now tells me he's useless against the run.
