redsbengalsbucks
Hockey(not a sport) is boring untill the fights start, and if that crap happened on the football field all the players would get ejected.

kayaker0678
Go Ice skating once and you will see that Hockey is a real sport. And a lot more brutal than Football. In Football Your not going as fast as skating and you cant get hit up against Glass. Just because you dont understand it doesn't make it any less of a sport. Oh and If you brought down football to its most simple form it would sound weird to. A bunch of Sterioded injected men chasing one another for a piece of pig skin. redsbengalsbucks
See there is where you are making assumptions, I have played backyard hockey on a frozen pond(no glass) and it just is not near as fun as backyard football. I have also had many more aches and pains caused by an afternoon of football than I ever had playing the non-sport of hockey.
BengalszoneBilly
Go Ice skating onceIf it's all the same to you, I'll pass on that. I'm afraid I'll be consumed by unnatural desires. BTW I'm just kidding Alex. I have been to one hockey game here locally in Arizona. We have a semi-pro team here called the Arizona Sundogs. I can't watch it on TV, but in person it's okay. The refs backing off and allowing fist fights smacks of pro wrestling and diminishes the sport greatly though in my eyes.
kayaker0678
I agree with the fights thing. But Hockey is tremendously hard. I think just because you dont understand a sport you shouldn't bash it.

You likely feel the same about my beloved Nascar.
kayaker0678
Nah man I like Go fast and turn left. Except of Course Wakins Glen. Hockey is a lot like soccer. You either love it or hate it.

Alex, I believe there are a lot of steriods used in every sport. NFL, NHL, NBA, BOXING, MMA, TENNIS, ECT, ECT, ECT. They're everywhere. Athletes MUST use them to stay competitive. Billy, Is Football in the Olympic Games yet? Hockey is a sport in my book. I think its popular throughout the world too, like soccer, another sport. With that being said, I can't stand to watch Hockey NHL games unless its for the Stanley Cup. A few good friends of mine have played hockey in College, believe me, its a sport with a huge fan base. If Cincinnati had a NHL team, you know you'd be a fan, lol! I love football, I think its a rough sport, but nothing compares to hockey. Its the fastest game. Speed = Pain. How many football players do you know that are missing teeth? Not too many... Maybe in the NFL's early years it was rougher than hockey, but not today. agreen_112
See there is where you are making assumptions, I have played backyard hockey on a frozen pond(no glass) and it just is not near as fun as backyard football. I have also had many more aches and pains caused by an afternoon of football than I ever had playing the non-sport of hockey. Then you must suck at Hockey! LOL. About calling it a "non-sport": Even Basketball is in the Olympic. Football may never get there!

But, If there is competition is a sport to me... I'm from the gutters dude, you could give me a tennis ball, a few baseball gloves, a hockey stick or two, a football, some rollerblades and a group of friends and we could invent our own games. Football and Basketball were always our favorite because its the american culture. We would play sports from the time we got outside until the sun went down... Most athletes would agree that a sport is a sport, its the competition that makes the game fun.

Hockey, for me, does not give either of those. Soccer is boring to watch, but it is a blast to play.Do you really think you are the only person to invent games that are original concepts? My brother and the neighbor kids played all day everyday untill dark and latter depending on what game and where it was being played. I consider myself to be a former athlete(35 years of either baseball or softball, won two state USSSA tourney titles, came in second at nationals once and placed in 6th at worlds once) and Hockey does not make it for me. Pidge
Soccer is boring to watch, but it is a blast to play.I beg to differ. I understand the way you feel though. It's like basketball for me. Love playing it, very badly I might add, but it sends me to sleep when I watch it. Plus the constant squeaking drives me nuts. That's like me saying "I don't like to drive a Honda. I don't even consider it a car IMO."Sport - Physical activity that is governed by a set of rules or customs and often engaged in competitively.
