kurgan74 Posted February 15, 2008 Report Posted February 15, 2008 Per the Atlanta Journal Constituion, Algae Crumper and Keith Brookings among 12 players who could gt cut tomorrowby the Falcons. I would not mind seeing either play for the Bengals. http://www.ajc.com/sports/content/sports/f...lcons_0215.html Quote
DC_Bengals_Fan Posted February 15, 2008 Report Posted February 15, 2008 If they cut Crumpler, then Arthur Blank and whoever is GM there has just lost their damn mind. Brooking would be pretty dumb to cut, but cutting Crumpler would be beyond comprehension. If there's a situation under which we can get Crumpler and still have enough cash for a defense, grab him. skyline Posted February 15, 2008 Report Posted February 15, 2008 Apparently, Zach Thomas will be released as well. Quote
ShulaSteakhouse Posted February 15, 2008 Report Posted February 15, 2008 None of them will come here - Crumpler is interesting though. Brooking has seen his better days, junk.I'm a big Zach Thomas fan and would love to have him for a year, or two, before he retires, and to mentor. But, he wants to go to a winner, and that counts out the Bengals' - as they are not perceived as that kind of team. His concussion problems are a concern, but, he did his usual thing when he played last year. He'll go to a team who actually uses Free Agency to help win year to year - Broncos, Colts, Pats, Chargers, Seattle, Dallas etc..., Quote
Pidge Posted February 15, 2008 Report Posted February 15, 2008 Wow, a TE that can block and catch. The first skill will attract the Bengals' interest but then they'll get nervous about the catching part and he'll go elsewhere. I mean, blocking and catching? That's messed up right there - it must be voodoo or something. Quote
Pidge Posted February 15, 2008 Report Posted February 15, 2008 Although, Ben Coates isn't without talent, IMO. Plus, how expensive would Algenon be? Quote
Defender Posted February 15, 2008 Report Posted February 15, 2008 Marcus Wilkins got cut; wasn't he one of our ST bright spots? I'd take a flyer to try and bring him back in. Quote
