Note to Chad Johnson

Chad, you don't just get respect, you have to earn it! In order to do that you have to go out and do your job better then anybody else does it. You had a record year! However, how many bone head mistakes did you make? How many passes did you miss that were catchable? How many times did you fumble because you weren't carrying the ball properly? You're good, but to this day, you still can't tie Anthony Munoz cleats, nor carry Kenny Anderson’s jock strap.

Chad, I have a little news flash for you. The sorry record that the Bengals earned this year had nothing to do with Chad Johnson. Did you watch the Super Bowl last night? Did you see the Giants Def take Brady down? How many times did you see a Bengal Defensive player make a tackle (like the ones you seen last night)? That was one of the big factors for the disappointing record. A lack of tackling, covering WR’s and consistency!

Another factor that contributed to the horrible record was all the distractions that the team had to deal with. Players arrested, suspended, hurt, etc. We thought we may have gotten rid of those distractions but now it appears that you’re throwing fuel on the fire for the 2008 season. Do you want to win or not? Chad you’re living the American dream. You’re being paid millions of dollars to play a sport that every kid in America loves to play. You aren’t working at a restaurant for minimum wage. You’re not walking a post guarding this nation, getting shot at or bombed. You’re not performing manual labor. You’re playing football!

Chad, enjoy your time off, get your head back on track and get back on that field. Be the Chad Johnson that everybody loves to watch. Shut the media up with your play. Block when you’re asked to block, run like the wind when you’re ask to run and catch those TD passes when they’re thrown to you. Chad, one last thing. This is not an individual sport. One man doesn’t ruin a season. It’s a team effort. Get it together. You’re not Carl Picken and you’re not Corey Dillon. In other words, you’re not a cancer, you’re just lost for the moment.

Chad Johnson might want to leave the Bengals, but he will wear the black-and-orange helmet Sunday in the NFL all-star game.

The Bengals wide receiver this afternoon was selected as the Pro Bowl replacement for New England’s Randy Moss, who withdrew from the game because of injury suffered Sunday night in the Patriots' Super Bowl loss to the Giants.

Things are looking up Chad!!
