I've been using this site as a reference for much of the Bengals' cap info this season:

If you click on the GM 08 button it supposedly gives you a semi accurate estimate of cap gain/loss for cuts this offseason, according to it if we cut:

Dexter Jackson: saves $ 1,250,000

Deltha O'neal: saves $ 1,771,250

John Thorton: saves $ 4,000,000

Now I know these numbers aren't necessarily true, but if they are remotely accurate cutting those 3 perennially criticized players saves us $7mil, which is pretty redonk considering the $30+ million of cap space we'll have at the get go.

Can anyone verify this site's info at all? I'd hate to daydream about an offseason where we'd have $40mil to throw at Lance Briggs and Terrel Suggs all while locking up TJ long term if it wasnt true.

The price to replace Deltha will be higher than his cap number, and 2008 is the year he gets to audition for the "big free agent contract" he has wanted all along. I think he'll play to the level of his desire for that contract....and be well worth the 1.6 mil
