agreen_112 Posted December 13, 2007 Report Posted December 13, 2007 Marv's done a good job drafting. If not for all the injuries, this would be a different team. D-Line has been the only struggle except for Peko and Geathers. We will continue to get better in the draft and the players like Thurman, Irons, Hall, Joseph, Brooks, Pollack, Henry, Whitworth, Ndukwe, M. Williams, ect will all continue develop. Like I said, Marv HAS done a GREAT job, injuries have diminished this team... In Marv I STILL Trust! Quote

TDVictory Posted December 13, 2007 Report Posted December 13, 2007 just dont lose to the Dolphins. Quote
damiancasey Posted December 13, 2007 Report Posted December 13, 2007 It's the most important thing for a team. You talk about the 90's, and how bad we were and that's the reason. Bad drafts.Ki-JanaKlinglerBig DaddyMelvin TutenEtc.....Go to the draft history on Bengals.com and you'll see a horrible display of drafting. Why do you think Pittsburgh year in and year out can just let guys go and plug someone else in. The draft. Then teams that have been historically bad should have rosters full of high draft picks - and because draft picks are so important they should either be kicking ass or at least on par with the rest of the league. If that were true it would make sense to purposely suck for 5 or 6 years and fill your roster up with high picks.Making smart draft picks is important. However - if you can't coach those players you're screwed. Strong coaching and a good QB is what makes or breaks the team. Quote

Well, he did start the list with Thurman, so you may have to suspend common sense a little to begin with. Quote
walzav29 Posted December 15, 2007 Author Report Posted December 15, 2007 For the record I still trust in Marvin as well. He is a good coach. I think after this offseason we'll go on a 8-10 year playoff run. Hopefully a Superbowl will be in there. Quote

Davicster Posted December 16, 2007 Report Posted December 16, 2007 49ers - I've seen the Bengals lose to these guys a couple of times before. I never want to see it again.Browns - Paybacks a B!tch. Knock em' out of the playoffsDolphins - Don't want the Bengals to be the ONLY team to lose to themYeah it will mess the draft pick up, but it's momentum going into next year.8-8 looks all to likely and such a waste. With all the extra draft picks for next season, it would be nice to draft around 10-12. 8-8 doesn't get that done. Nor does 7-9. Finishing 8-8 again simply proves the bengals have gone from Bungels on a yearly basis to mediocre on a yearly basis. Whoopee.Nothing likely about 8-8 - I doubt we will give Miami much of a game after last night's performance.... Quote
walzav29 Posted December 16, 2007 Author Report Posted December 16, 2007 There is no doubt in my mind. If the Dolphins are 0-15 in that game they will beat the Bengals Quote
HairOnFire Posted December 16, 2007 Report Posted December 16, 2007 Until last night I didn't have a single worry about the Bengals losing to Miami. But it's safe to say things have changed after watching the Bengals adopt passive gameplans on both sides of the ball. Quote

Knock em' out of the playoffsIf they win today, they're in anyway.Dolphins - Don't want the Bengals to be the ONLY team to lose to them.Me either, but I see the freight train coming, and the Bengals are stuck on the tracks. Yeah it will mess the draft pick up, but it's momentum going into next year. The momentum is building, but it appears it for the draft. Quote
