halp
IMPOSSIBLE......... an overthrown ball is incomplete....... when a ball is thrown beyond a receiver and caught, then you have a receiver DOING WHAT HE IS PAID FOR. PAID TO DO!!!!!!! and that is making a catch. receivers must adjust to the ball as well as becoming defensive backs when needed. that's why quarterbacks throw and when needed become a RUNNING BACK! Bobcat Bengal
I HAVE NEVER SEEN A RECEIVER CATCH A BALL THAT WAS OVER THROWN!!!!!!!!!!!! pass judgement on kitna.....fire away.....this is why pdub sucks and is on his way out!!!!!!!!! you'll seeyo terry get in the game i meant catching it in stride, so Chad wouldnt have to stop and make those catches period.....its obvious you cant catch a overthrown ball, but I'm saying its much like how Carson threw Patrick Johnson that 60 yard bomb in practice the other dayPJ said something to the effect of, the defende would have to go through him to get the ball, thats what I was saying.... He's another one of the hard to get rid of mikey picks. :player: He had a great year last year and I hope his problems have been coaching. But I've wanted to be rid of him for years now. Please oh please don't let him return punts again. :player:

jditty47
um u can catch an overthrown ball. Have any of u played football my god. Any pass that you have to tip back to yourself because you could only get your hands on it is an overthrown ball. Whenever a ball is caught with one hand extended it is an overthrown ball. If a guy has to jump when he is wide open its an overthrown ball. GDI some of u need to get on the field before spittin knowledge.
EdwardG
If the ball is overthrown, the receiver is allowed to jump to catch it.

I meant like overthrown down field, so long that the reciever has no chance at it, he just ran downfield for nothing....thats what I've been talking about the whole time, the impossibly thrown deep ball, ala Boomer Esiason. Overthrown balls are a WR's responsibility, once the ball is within his reach. We all clear now?
