chrishcovga
Adewele Ogunleye has put up 25 1/2 sacks over the last 2 seasons. He was originally an undrafted Free Agent for the Dolphins, but since moving to the starters position, he put up 9.5 sacks in '02 , and 15 1/2 in '03. http://www.nfl.com/nflnetwork/daily_sked#thu - He'll be on NFL Network tonight discussing his contract battle with the Dolphins. The 'Phins previously asked for a 1st and a 3rd for his rights, but maybe we can offer picks and a player to keep next year's 1st ! - Maybe a 2nd in '05, a 3rd in '06, and Duane Clemons ?? But the question is, do we make a move for him, since we still have considerable cap room to 4+ million sign him long term..?And give up the draft picks to get him.? - Not sold on Clemons,Patterson, or Geathers ! Twurksum10
We cant afford him really, seems like it would be better too see if one of the younger guys on the DL can step it up. Hes a great player, but he isnt as proven as those statistics seem I dont think. He plays on a really good Defense that takes the preasure of him. And last year sorta seems like it could be a flash and the pan, id hate to break the bank and have him not pan out for the bengals.
kevnz
He would be awsome to get....But at what price? The Dolphins are asking for a kings ransom for him. Maybe a second for him and a conditional 1st-2nd for 2006 cause we'll be picking 32nd then anyway The problem is that Marvin is building for the future and to part with a high draft picks can really impede the teams progress....but damn it'd be nice. But it comes down to the Dolphins asking too much for him...
HoosierCat
I'd love to have him, but not at the price of picks (or a package of players and picks) plus the pile of money (he wants a deal with a $14-16 million signing bonus) he's asking for.
