AMC Posted October 24, 2007 Report Posted October 24, 2007 http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/7367486What if the Dolphins are winless on Dec. 30 when they play the Bengals in Miami???What kind of pressure would THAT put on the men in stripes???? Quote
CJBestInAFC Posted October 24, 2007 Report Posted October 24, 2007 None the Dolphins are terrible. If the Bengals lose to the Dolphins which wont happen they deserve not to make the playoffs if that game is the deciding factor. Quote

Not as much pressure as would be on the Dolphins to get a win, nowhere near as much. Quote
ArmyBengal Posted October 25, 2007 Report Posted October 25, 2007 Considering we are currently 2-4, EVERY game the Bengals play from here on out will have a great deal of pressure behind it. Also, considering the strength of our remaining schedule, many of those games I'm sure are looked upon as wins. That, in and of itself, places pressure squarely upon the shoulders of the Bengals. Bottom line is, that they put themselves in the hole they are in and they have to play some inspired ball against the remaining shcedule. At least a split with the Steelers is needed in my mind as well...WHODEY !!! Quote
jjakq27 Posted October 25, 2007 Report Posted October 25, 2007 Here's my dream sequence for that game. The Bengals score as time expires but they are down by one. Rather than go for the extra point, Marvin decides to win it right here and now by going for two. No New Year's Eve screw-ups like last year he says. They bring Koostra in to play left tackle and they slide Levi to TE as a tackle-eligble in their jumbo goal line offense. The ball is hiked, Levi goes out and catches a pass for the two point conversion in front of LB Joey Porter. On the play, Porter tries to bat the ball away from Levi but is unable to since he is playing him man-to-man and doesn't have three or four other guys helping him. The Bengals win the game and clinch a playoff spot while the Dolphins lose to go 0-16 for the year giving them the distinction of two perfect seasons in their franchise history thanks to their big offseason acquisition Joey Porter. Sundance_Kid Posted October 25, 2007 Report Posted October 25, 2007 oh and jjakg27, you forgot to mention the Bengals turn this playoff berth into a full blown SUPER BOWL run, wherein the Bengals absolutely dismantle the Dallas Cowboys and Mike Brown (as much as some ppl love him, *dripping with sarcasm*) gets to RUB it in the face of JERRY JONES and AMERICAS team... meaning 1 of the top 3 lowest Small Market Teams FU*KS the #1 Big Market team. The following week, Carson Palmer and co. are compared to Troy Aikman and the triplets, and while the comparisons are 'cute' Carson and the Bengals win every Super Bowl from there on out until he is 51 and where he wins his last SUPER BOWL against Vinny Testaverde who is still playing @ the age of 78 for the LA Browns (where Cleveland got moved to due to a lack of prowess, in the 2021 expansion).
