lets hope we can change that to palmer- johnson :D

Ken Anderson

James Brooks (the toughest little back we ever had, he willingly slammed into defenders)

Tim Krumrie

Isaac Curtis

Boomer

Anthony Munoz

Boobie Clark

Dan Ross

Bruce Reimers

Steve Kreider (he always seemed to make a big third down catch, of course he rarely played if it wasn't third down)

Jim Breech (Mr. Automatic from 40 in)

Sam Wyche (ok he's a coach, but he was damn fun...)

I will never forget his quote "You don't live in Cl#v$l%nd! You live in Cincinnati!" That was the best of all times. If anyone has a link to that quote please post as I would love to have a wav or audio file of that clip. I heard it on WLW once but I have yet to find a link to it.

Yea that was a Great line !

Hey does anybody remember Greg Cook QB ?

Sure do. Held the NCAA record for yardage in a game (554 yds for UC vs. Ohio U) that I think wasn't broken until the late 80's (Andre Ware?) or 90's. They actually lost that game 60-48 also!

According to Bob Trumpy, "Cook was John Elway 15 years before John Elway".

Unfortunately Cook injured his shoulder in 1969 which basically ended his career.

I really liked Munoz and Curtis for their ability and class. I would add Bill Bergey. We didn't have him long enough, and we never had a dominant MLB like him again. I also long for the days of Tommy Casanova, Ken Riley and Lamar Parish as DB's.

Reggie Williams. Played 14 years for the Bengals including both superbowls and played with intenseness, ferocity and intelligence. Although he was deaf, he never considered it a disability on the field, which is impressive for a linebacker. He was a real class player both on and off the field...the kind that ML would kill for to have on his team today. He also won the NFL's Man of the Year Award in '86.

Also have to mention Louis Breeden. I loved that guy back in the day.

Funny thing, but for all the years Williams played for the Bengals, I most remember the fact that he was on city council for a couple years after he retired. :D

Nobody outplayed or outclassed Munoz. All around top notch athlete and person. Still got his autographed picture from when he came to my junior high back in the early 80's.

does anyone remember Lamar Parrish, Bill Bergy or Tommy Casinova? I thought they were excellent players from the 70's. They just were unfortunate to be in the same divison as the great Steeler teams of that era. :player:

I remember all three of those (Bergy was a MLB, Parish a CB #20 I believe, and Casinova was a Safety possibly #37)

As for Cook I saw him QB a game for the Bengals.
