WhoDey93285
Eh, I'm not overjoyed with this hiring, but we could have done worse. The guy has some credentials (WS Appearance, 3x NL Manager of the Year), but his mis-use of pitchers (See: Prior, Wood) scares me. Hopefully the FO warned him about overusing Cueto and Bailey. Time will be the judge of this move for me.
skyline
After seeing what he did in Chicago, this move worries me.
BlainThePain
I'm not really thrilled with this at all.
WhoDey93285
After seeing what he did in Chicago, this move worries me.The only thing that worries me is the way he'll handle our young pitching. If Bailey and Cueto both come up next year, Baker will ride them and ride them hard. Unless, of course, there were guidelines put in place.Do you realize in 2003, Mark Prior only threw less than 115 pitches 13 times. He went over 130 pitches 8 times I believe. He through like 240 innings (including post-season). Thats an awful lot at such a young age.Guidelines definately need to be set in place about how he handles our pitching.
