Ya... it really doesn't matter how threatening your offense is; without at least a top 10 defense, it's almost impossible to win it all.

The 2006 Colts defense finished the season ranked 21st in the NFL giving up an average of 173 yrds/game and 5.3 yrd/rush, they only recorded 25 sacks and gave up more than 21 pts a game.

Our most succesful year during the Marvin Lewis era was 2005, in which we ranked 17th in the league in total defense. If we can repeat that performance I like our chances with the offense that we currently have.

Now, when you play the Ravens, then maybe I'll root for the Pats a little.

I have heard that they are accused of filming both and accused of messing with the headsets so who really knows at this point.

BTW, what's Pay-a-ton's record against that killer defense since the Pats last Super Bowl?
