Where's Levi?

Does anybody happen to know what is up with Levi Jones? I do not see him on any injury lists, and yet he still does not play. Whitworth is a nice back-up LT, but to me is not quite a permanent LT yet. He still has way too many false starts every game, and has yet to develop his footwork against speed rushers. I am wondering if ML is not playing him because of his earlier comments. If that is so, I think ML is not giving his team their best chance to win the game, and that is not fair to the rest of the team. Now, if that is not the case, and ML thinks that Whitworth gives us a better chance to win, then what's up with the Levi extension? Because we sure could use that money to help the defense. I personnally am pulling for Levi to get back in there. Levi does not get as many false starts, and he does a better job against speed rushers. What's the pulse of the rest of Bengal Nation think about this one?

Levi isn't mentioned on any injury reports all week so you may well get to see him play this week, they aren't telegraphing what's up with him so you, like every other NFL DC, will have to make your best guess.

I can sympathize with Whit, he wasn't drafted as a LT and most experts never anticipated him being one, guy in front gets hurt and your a starter, welcome to the NFL.

That said I can't see ML sitting a healthy Levi either, he only sat Snoop for one game after he was busted. I think we should just ignore the media who frankly know as much as we do on this subject and accept that if he ain't playing it because he is too hurt to do so safely without re-injuring himself.

I still feel Willie is a bigger concern on the O right now, at least Levi seems to be improving.

I'm as much in the dark as everyone else, but I've speculated for some time now that Levi is no longer considered injured, but simply isn't ready to play at a high enough level to provide an advantage over Whitworth. And before anyone argues that point, remember....Whit's allowed a few pressures, but no sacks. So there's very little motivation to rush Levi back until he's 100%.

In addition, moving Levi back into the starting lineup might result in a shift of players at multiple positions.

Whitworths a beast and worthy of being a starter,He's gotten his ass handed to him at times(Colts game facing one of best and fastest Pass rushers) But were still lucky to have him.I look forward to levi getting healthy but I'm really not worried about whitworth as long as Willie or levi is on the other side of the line that he is on.

Do you all think Levi is expendable?

No. I think Levi right now is the best depth we could ask for. I'm sure he will get back out there eventually (my bet is after the bye) but the bottom line is that the offense isn't the problem. Even without Levi (and Steiny and Henry and Mr. Glass and Kerry Irons) the O is putting up plenty of points. Levi is among the least of my concerns.
