Alexxx
Hi guys, as an Eagles fan, i'm kinda worried about McNabb's situation following his ACL, his throws were mainly inacurate so far.How was Carson Palmer doing after his ACL the last year ? Did he often overthrow his receivers ?Good luck against the Seahawks, I wish AFC North will be yours this year
HoosierCat
His mechanics were off all year. It didn't help having an o-line that started about 15 different guys, but yeah he was throwing off his back foot a lot and winging a lot of balls way over everyone's head as a result. He admitted after the season that all the time he spent rehabbing meant he couldn't get in much practice time and so was really rusty. All that said, he still had a great year, 4000+ yards, 62% completion, 28 TDs vs 13 INT and a 94 season rating. So don't lose hope!

Your wr's have to step up and make some plays, they have to help #5 out a bit.
Bengals1
Plus Carson is a prototypical drop back passer and McNabb has always been a scrambler. He's not going to be able to run around back there like he did, that's going to take some getting used to.Good luck.
HairOnFire
I think it can be argued that Palmer still isn't mechanically back to where he was before being injured. Despite working all offseason on his technique I'd say he still throws more high passes than he once did, and over a prolonged number of games you can see the slip in accuracy reflected in his completion percentage. Make no mistake, I'm not complaining. I rarely allow myself to forget how close the Bengals came to possibly losing Palmer forever, but as good as he's been since returning....6 TD passes in one game is getting it done in anyones book....I can't bring myself to say that he's all the way back yet. Kazkal
Mcnabb has a different style then carson but I think once he's healthy he'll still be a top 5 QB.If it wasn't for carson I'd love to have mcnabb as a QB.
DesperateDerelict
Palmer repeatedly commented that it was harder for him to get mentally healthy than physically healthy - D-linemen near him, especially around his legs, severely distracted him. Also, Carson has the advantage of playing in a city where he is worshiped, as opposed to Philly's rep as chewing up their star athletes with very little provocation. The question isn't McNabb's knee, but whether the Iggle fans will give him time to get all the way back to his previous (and amazing) playing level of early last year. Also, your WR's are OVER-RATED. Why can't Brown, Curtis, and Hackett get open, and make it easier on the poor guy???

The something very weird about EagleNation. I can't forget how loudly they booed when McNabb was drafted, and he's never really been embraced by many of them despite being the most productive QB drafted in the so-called year of the QB. And didn't it seem like way too many of them sided with Owens despite his obvious team splitting antics?
