rwjcgc Posted September 16, 2007 Report Posted September 16, 2007 Where was Geathers today? Peko, other than his Samoan flowing locks, he was a no-show.Hall, Lewis is impressed w/ him - Whoopeee, he doesn't look to be first round talent at this point. He looks very small out there - I don't have much hope for him to become worthy of his pick.Smith, franchise player, not today? Jackson - too old and slow. Deltha - seemed to give upin second half. After this kind of thumping it's hard to see any positives, maybe one of you can set me straight. Quote

711chad Posted September 16, 2007 Report Posted September 16, 2007 are u serious about there being any keepers? Quote
rwjcgc Posted September 16, 2007 Author Report Posted September 16, 2007 are u serious about there being any keepers? You're right, keepers is too vague. How about this: Are there any impact players on this defense to build around?I can't name many that consistently show up and perform well on the defense for this team. Is it their fault or isit the scheme? The blitz packages were completely ineffective, there was absolutely no pressure put on the QB.It all stunk today, run and pass defense against a sub-par opponent. Quote

It would be generous to say that my wife knows absolutely nothing about football. Zip, nada, bupkis. She's probably figured out the ball is fat in the middle and pointed on both ends, but beyond that.... Anyways, in the 2nd quarter she looked at me and asked why the Bengals weren't crowding the LOS with the same number of defenders as in the Raven game. "Five or six players near the line, tops. Last week it was seven or eight." ((((SIGH))) Quote

Let down doesn't begin to address the breakdowns on Offense, defense and special teams. Quote
