BZBot
No matter how you cut it, a road will lead through New England or IndianapolisSource: http://www.bengalszone.com/article.php?sid=
cincy9275
our offense will be fine if any thing it's the defense that has to improve period. yes the colt and patriots are good but the teams they played imho are not. the saints are in the nfc nuff said there and the jets where overachiever as a result of a soft schedule last season. then add that our O will only get better with henrey and perry coming back later in the season. if the bengals have proved anything is that they can hang with anyone on offense. our problem is and has been is that our defense can't stop any one . agreen_112
Went home for my lunch break and accomplished the following: Cut up the chicken wings, check. Prepared the sauce, check. Stopped by the drive-thru and picked up a 12 pack (Miller lite), check. Put the beers on ice, check. Laid out the lucky #85 Authentic Jersey, orange and black undershirts, and jeans, check. Decided which hat (I have 3) looked the best, check...Please, for the love of GOD, could 7:30 please hurry up and get here.**edit**Posted in wrong section, meant to post in the Tonights Game thread... Oh well

Oh wellOK, I feel like GOD (looking to the heavens for lightning) right now, and I grant your request and hereby move the start of the game to 7:00PM EST. To do this I will speed the rotation of the Earth imperceptibly, thus affecting the time-space continuum (yeah Einstein got that one right--- he was such a know-it-all). So be there at 7. And one final thing, I hereby command that the Bengals will win, plucking the very eyes out the Ravens, who are evil incarnate. Sorry, I know that kind of talk doesnt go over very well in your post-Old Testament world. Those were the good ole' days. Locust, floods, fire, babel, yadda, yadda.Yours Truly,GOD
BengalChamps
We beat the Ravens last year because the D played well. Again we need the D to play well to win.
GregCook
Out here in California, I drove by the Raiders stadium yesterday and the parking lot was choked with tents, campers, Winnebago's and smoke. Made me want to buy tickets just for the smell. Now if the Raiders can fill their stadium to watch losers, I can't image what PB Stadium would be like to watch winners. Must be fun. Any way, the deck is cleared with my wife out of the way, beer has been laid in the refrig. Snacks my cardiologist doesn't approve are chilln. Grill is growling for some drippings.Lets Play some football!
Kazkal
Well our offense didn't play great but it was vs a good defense so it happens a win is a win.

DC_Bengals_Fan
Well our offense didn't play great but it was vs a good defense so it happens a win is a win.Amen to that. Carson had his usual early-season inaccuracy, the O-line was terrible (owing to injuries), so as a result the offense didn't get much done. But it didn't matter, because, and I did NOT expect it...the DEFENSE brought the lumber! They kicked ass. Chuck and Marvin seem to have realized last year's prevent didn't work, and put in some meanness.Shades of 2005, but it was better here because that year, in all honesty, we got most of the gaudy INT stats off of the terrible NFC North QBs. Not to take away from that, but here the D beat the hell out of Steve McNair. No matter how you slice it...the D was impressive.
HoTbOy
The offense needs to do a better job of scoring points, if the D does not get all those turnovers the Bengals may not have won...The O was good in the 1st half but once again the other team made adjustments at the half and the Bengals did not this happens ALL the time with this team...The 1st team O did not look all that great in pre-season also, so I hope they get it together because you will not always get 6 turnovers every game, if the Ravens had a little better O they still could have won the game...The D looked better than before, but it seems that they have a letdown after we score, because they always let the other team come right back and score...But for the 1st game I will take a W anyway I can, plus the $50 I won betting friends last night...
