Who dey think can solve this?

It may or not be the first Bengal tiger made of corn, but Bill Irons knows it’s the trickiest corn maze he’s ever constructed.

Beginning Sept. 1, visitors to Irons Fruit Farm in Lebanon can attempt to tackle the 12-acre maze, and perhaps win a treat.

Planting the corn so that it grows into the finished masterpiece is no small feat.

It involves a complex design using grids and when the corn starts to crow tall enough, Irons has to “hoe it, or mow it.”

“I was interested in art back when I was in school,” said 39-year-old Irons. “I joke around that it’s my 12-acre canvas.”

He has dreamed of doing a pattern dedicated to the Bengals for years, but he always had one hang up.

“It really just took getting the nerve up to call and ask if I can do it,” Irons said. “But they called me back and told me they thought it was a great idea.”

This year, the maze contains Bengals trivia questions as well as small boxes hidden throughout the maze. For an extra challenge, visitors can take a card with them into the maze and look for the boxes, which contain various shaped hole-punchers.

Those who find all the boxes win a tasty treat, Irons said.

Irons Fruit Farm is a fourth-generation farm in Warren County. It sells seasonal produce, baked items and homemade apple cider. In the fall, the farm also offers educational orchard tours, hayrides and special events.

This is Irons’ seventh corn maze. Previous versions have included mazes shaped like the state of Ohio and a tractor.

“The only problem is I keep trying to outdo myself from the year before,” he said.

That's right up the road from me and this is the first I've heard about it. Wow!

Well Scooter maybe you should stop surfing the internet all day (as I do too) and go outside for some fresh air. Actually it's one of those things you could likely drive right by in your car and never realize it's there!

BTW if you do go, Take the attched map!

Sweet, nice find Billy! It's 20 minutes from my house. My friends and all our kids love this kind of stuff during the fall, and all of us are Bengal nuts! We're there this weekend.

When I saw this on the news I thought it was great. This guy must really be a Bengals fan to create a masterpiece like this. It is great to see another great BENGALS fan!!! :sure:

That made me think, if he was a Browns fan, would he have made a "Turd" maze, and if he did, who'd want to walk it?

BTW Big_Dog_Daddy, alb_86960_big.jpg welcome to Bengalszone!
