Darrelle Revis signs 47 page contract with New York

Recommended Posts

Is that a abnormally large contract?

Peter King already has the guy down as the best DB at his position in th next five years, who the hell did he cover at Pittburgh to warrant such high remarks? People tried to dog Leon Hall for the touchdown he gave up against Ohio State to Ginn and the Jarret debacle against USC, but what I say to that is honestly who did Revis cover in college that I can even look at him as a consideration for one of the two best corners in the next five years?

About damn time for the 14th overall pick IMHO! The only 1st rounder left unsigned is JaMarcus Russell. LINK!

I would like to take this opportunity to publicly repent of the critical posts I made in the days leading up to training camp fretting about the FO's delayed signing of our draft picks. Katie and Co, nice job getting everyone in (mostly) on time this year -- even if you kept us sweating it out on the edges of our office-chairs for a while there! As demonstrated with the Revis holdout, writing these contracts is not easy and negotiations w/ the second CB off the board definitely could've gone much worse. Go #29! Who Dey! :bengal:

Peter King is a moron. That's the answer to any question that begins with "Why did Peter King...?"

Wow. And to think, it only took him until the 14th pick to come off the board.

I guess the other teams picking ahead of the Jets (or Panthers) didn't need a Champ Bailey-type, shut-down corner.

Not sure where all the anti-Revis vibes are coming from. If I'm not mistaken, many of you wanted Revis for Cincy> Anyway, it seems that many draft boards were split b/w Revis and Hall as the #1 Cb. If in fact a scout that King trusts had Revis in the top 10 or even 5, I don't see what the big deal is. By all accounts he is a special player, I don't see your need to discredit that.
