Wraith Posted April 25, 2007 Report Posted April 25, 2007 1 (18) Michael Griffin, SS, Texas. Best Run Stuffing DB in the draft. Has speed and coverage ability. Played in a big time conference, Smart, Intimidator. 2 (49) Justin Durant, LB, Hampton. Second fastest LB in the draft, ultra Productive, Great intangibles, Smart, Team Leader, Headhunter.3 <no pick>4 (114) Matt Spaeth, TE, Minnesota. Last Year, when evaluating TE prospects Marvin said what they were looking for in a TE in a guy that can block. Spaeth is a great blocker who runs good routes and has good hands. Also Very Smart and contribute right away in Tony Stewart's place.5 (151) Jay Alford, DE, Penn State. I think Alford will be a gem. Great interior pass rusher with two moves. Has strength to hold the corner against the run and could be a great pickup.6 (187) Garret Wolfe, RB, Northern Illinois. Wolfe can be everything that Perry was supposed to be can contribute as a Return Specialist, a third down back and can be lightning to Rudi's Thunder.7a (230) Darren Stone, S, Maine. A prospect, can gun on special teams and could develop into a starting safety. Has all the ability in the world needs to refine technique.7b (253) Ryne Robinson, WR/RS, Miami (Ohio). Simply Put Devin Hester II. Seven Punt Returns for Touchdown in college career has quickness and a knack for finding the right holes and taking it to the house. Quote
schweinhart Posted April 26, 2007 Report Posted April 26, 2007 Justin Durant sure seems like a likely 2nd round pick but after watching a replay of Hunley leading the LB drills at the combine, Quincy Black is far and away the quickest LB in transition be it laterally, back or forward. I'd sure like to see him in stripes. Quote
