bnglsboi8532
Hey I like the guy as a professional but we know what he gives you, and that jack squat! He gets paid like a probowler and he not even close. He's not worth the money, I say release him and and take a 7th of the money with is like $2 million dollars and give it to Shaun Smith, I'd rather see him play behind Sam Adams and Peko and have Shaun Smith rotate in! Stripes
If I'm not mistaken, matching the Browns' offer for Smith would entail paying him nearly half of Thornton's yearly salary. Thornton is indeed overpaid, but he does play an important role on this defense and is a better player than Smith. We can find an immediate replacement for Smith in the draft, and maybe he'll end up the long term replacement for Thornton too. derekshank
*sigh*Another tired thread rehashing old opinions that haven't been properly reasoned out.http://forums.bengalszone.com/index.php?sh...14493&st=20No offense to you personally Bnglsboi... but as a first time poster, it might be worth your time to read through the active threads before starting new ones. That way you don't waste all of our time with a nonsensical opinion that has already been defeated numerous times by the reasonable among us. cincy9275
i agree thorton and robinson are a waist of cap space and roster spots. one of these srcubs should have been cut before simmons. peko is a better and more productive from his back up spot then either one of these bums. peko should be the starter. one of them should have already been cut because there production does not match what they are being paid.
