Reds at the plate: Joey Votto drilled a two-run single off Yoslan Herrera in the fifth to put Cincinnati up by one. Scott Hatteberg hit a two-run homer off Shawn Chacon in the first. Josh Hamilton went 2-for-3 with a run-scoring single.

Reds on the mound: Bailey surrendered three runs on three hits, a walk and two wild pitches, all in the second inning. Rheal Cormier, Todd Coffey and Brad Salmon combined for three middle innings of no-hit ball.

Grapefruit League records: Reds 4-0; Pirates 0-4.

Up next: Cincinnati will return home to face Philadelphia. Righty Paul Wilson will face off against Phillies righty Jon Lieber during the 1:05 p.m. ET matchup.
