schweinhart
Good Gawd, that's a monster deal for the Lions. Their front office probably uncorked the champagne. They get rid of a 30-year old corner that didn't fit their scheme and was going to get cut and they get 2 starters at major positions of need. This should put an end to any talk about the Lions drafting either Adrian Peterson or Joe Thomas at #2. Looks like a QB or Calvin Johnson. Edogger
What did the Lions do with Matt Millen? That is a great deal for the Lions! That may just shake up all the mock drafts out there!
Stripes
Agreed. The Lions win this one.

AMC
I think DET could still draft Thomas or Peterson or Johnson or Quinn or Russell....They could envision a Chicago Bears type backfield with Peterson and Bell.....Bell and Kevin Jones are too similar....What does that mean for Kevin Jones???Should be interesting....They could be looking to trade the pick as well as mentioned earlier. Kazkal
I think not, the fans would kill Matt Millen....they are gonna trade downEven being 4th WR in 5 years...I don't think lion fans could be able hate millen for taking calvin...Outside minus injury the guy looks be the sure thingUnlike Mike and Carlos...Calvin is a great character guy he's also best WR prospect ever hit the nfl (not saying he's best WR but prospect )How many 6'5 4.35 240 guys come out? who also run routes have soft hands and will run over defenders rather then go down? He's like Chad Johnson,Randy Moss, marvin harrison,T.O love child.PS,I feel bad for my friend he loved T.bell and has been wanting the broncos just to stick with one back....I think broncos got screwed. rishipatel
I saw on NFL Live that the Lions may also get a draft pick from the Broncos. I don't know the exact terms, but it said "?5th rounder" That makes the deal even better for the lions.
Whur CHad At?
A good move for the Lions!? Are you serious? They just got two peice of junk players in exchange for a pro bowler? The Denver secondary is gonna be unreal next year.

I heard that the Buccaneers have been in conversations with a team about possibly trading up to get Calvin J. I wonder if they are talking with the Lions...That would be two things that Matt Millen would have done right. That is scary! Plus, can you imagine if the Lions took an other receiver this year. Granted, it is Calvin...but they need a quarterback and other positions first.
