PhunkE1
I know this is wishful thinking, but I sure would love to see us make a play for Rivera. If we were to get Rivera maybe Briggs would consider coming with him, at the right price of course. I just think our D needs an identity. There's talent there, but we seem to take one step forward and two steps back. Going into last year it looked like the secondary would be the strength of this team with O'neal coming of a probowl season and Meudui coming back from injury. By late season it was obvious to all that our Run D was the strength of our D. Come on Mikey, open up the pocket book to get this guy. He should be a head coach somewhere. Whur CHad At?
Why would he come here? Isnt he still under contract with da bears?
BlainThePain
He runs a different scheme and his scheme relies heavily on the defensive tackles getting pressure. Doesn't look like a good fit to me.

Doesn't look like a good fit to me.I don't know, I think Peko has shown the ability to get a good push up the middle. If we hire him he's going to want to bring in a FA DT that would fit the bill, or draft one. We have to start somewhere. Rivera is an FA, but is expected to resign with Chi. Like i said it's just wishful thinking.

Doesn't look like a good fit to me.Though I wanna change from undersized DT's Peko,JT,Brob all fit the bill plus if we take okoye (which i'm hoping we don't.) rwalling
Rivera's Cover 2/Tampa 2 scheme would drive you absolutely nuts. It's totally passive, doesn't attack, and players hate it. Urlacher's frustration in the Super Bowl wasn't execution, he hates the scheme because he's constantly in coverage instead of attacking. Whur CHad At?
Well, i think one reason Urlacher was pissed because he was out on the field 90% of the game and was dead tired.
Reimersfan88
Rivera didn't seem to realize that he needed to change his game plan to stop the Colts. The game reminded me of the Cincy-Indy game with all of the underneath stuff moving the ball.
Stripes
Rivera's gameplan in the Superbowl didn't work because he couldn't get pressure with the front four. I'd fault execution for that, and not the scheme (and the same goes for the Cincy/Indy game, despite my differing opinions after that game). That said, bringing Rivera in would do us no good, and it would certainly do him no good. Spor_tees
Bringing Rivera to the Bengals would be like giving porn to a guy with no hands.
WhoDeyForever
I would love to have Rivera, but I don't think it will happen. He is looking for a Head Coaching job and I think he will be able to get one.
