kayaker0678 Posted January 23, 2007 Report Posted January 23, 2007 And Another one bites the dust Quote
Kazkal Posted January 23, 2007 Report Posted January 23, 2007 Well atleast he'll make 1 good contract...but damn the dude wasen't even the main OC at USC...he was a "CO" OC o_O but I guess it would be kiffin or green. Quote
jditty47 Posted January 23, 2007 Report Posted January 23, 2007 another stupid coach pick for the raiders in my opinion. he is not the answer for this franchise. Quote
MacD BengalFan Posted January 23, 2007 Report Posted January 23, 2007 Oakland is where coachs go to see thier career end. I wish him all the luck, but I don't think Lane made a wise decision. Al Davis probably saw a cheap coach that he can bully around and confuse with his mixed message and endless ramblings. Quote
AMC Posted January 23, 2007 Report Posted January 23, 2007 Lane took the job to get away from USC maybe??????Didn't want to be around when/if Pete Carroll left, leaving him out of a job????Plus, if he gets fired in a year or two he can use it as a stepping stone toward a sweet OC job in the NFL possibly. Everyone knows Al Davis and would not hold it against Kiffin if he got fired.... Quote
Whur CHad At? Posted January 25, 2007 Report Posted January 25, 2007 I actually think he will be an good coach, thats just me though Quote
Stripes Posted January 25, 2007 Report Posted January 25, 2007 Between Kiffin and Tomlin's press conferences, Tomlin looks like a much more charismatic figure. I don't like the early sounds of the Kiffin hiring, but we'll see in time. Quote
jditty47 Posted January 25, 2007 Report Posted January 25, 2007 kiffin doesnt deserve it and hasnt earned it. mora jr was better than him. his DAD would be a better coach in my opinion. Quote
MacD BengalFan Posted January 30, 2007 Report Posted January 30, 2007 I actually think he will be an good coach, thats just me thoughAnd he might be, just not with the Raiders. Plus, he has such little NFL coaching experiance I don't think he will recover for some time if he doesn't turn the Raiders around. Quote
Kazkal Posted January 30, 2007 Report Posted January 30, 2007 Al davis needs to let control of the team go and hire some people who know what their doing.. Quote
MacD BengalFan Posted January 31, 2007 Report Posted January 31, 2007 Al davis needs to let control of the team go and hire some people who know what their doing..The sad thing is the old fart doesn't know any better. He is holding on to hope that is beyond hope. Someday he will realize that he needs to give it up and enjoy what few years he has left. But I think his mind has deteriorated to a point that he can't even think clearly. Sad to see for a man who had such an impact, bad or good, on the NFL. Quote
jackbauer Posted January 31, 2007 Report Posted January 31, 2007 Oakland is where coachs go to see thier career end.Yea because thats true with Jon Gruden I mean he coached there almost made the superbowl...if only it wasn't for that tuck rule...oh and then he goes to Tampa Bay and wins the SuperBowl his first year there....hmm interesting Quote
Whur CHad At? Posted January 31, 2007 Report Posted January 31, 2007 From what I have heard, Kiffin and Randy Moss haven't started off on the right foot. Apparently Kiffin called Moss at his home and Moss answered the phone angerly and told him he didnt want to talk to him Quote

Norv Turner has not returned to the head position, and he shouldn't as he is a better coordinator then HC. Art Shell is not rumored to be interviewed any time soon and wasn't mentioned for 10 years after his first trip to Oakland. The last Super Bowl coach the Raiders had, whose name excapes me, landed in college at Nebraska, his NFL career now in the dumper. And Gruden did not get fired, he was traded to Tampa. The coaches I mention were all fired by Al and his nerotic mind. I wish Kiffin all the best, but he would have better suited with another NFL organization. Quote
Whur CHad At? Posted February 1, 2007 Report Posted February 1, 2007 Haha It is also being reported that Brett Farve is pushing for the Packers to aquire Randy Moss Quote

Bill Callahan.Haha It is also being reported that Brett Farve is pushing for the Packers to aquire Randy MossMight as well get TO while they are at it. Can you imagine those two on a team together? Quote
jditty47 Posted February 1, 2007 Report Posted February 1, 2007 to and moss together would probably work the best for both of them. al davis is where mike brown was about 8 years ago. he needs to let up on his controls to someone like mike did to katie etc. game is changing, his old mentallity is hurting the organization and taking them longer to get back to competitive play.
