Mosca
Y'know, I remember before the season started, us Steelers fans and you Bengals fans, us all thinking how great this was going to be... sure, we each thought we had the better team, but there was no question that the most fun was going to be beating you guys (or us guys) because we were going to be good, and that would make it even better. Eight and eight and eight and eight. You shocked us once, we shocked you once. Man, that was mediocre. Yeah, it felt good to bring you guys down to even at the end, but there was no joy in it. Here's hoping it will be more evil next year. Here's hoping one of us can knock the other out of the playoffs. This sucked.Tom
SteelerFan87
Classy post there, my fellow Steeler fan, but I have to disagree. I got alot of joy out of Santonio's winning TD catch and run.It was a boring game untill the end when things started to get a little crazy, but that 4th quarter and overtime were pretty intense, even if it was just the end of a very disapointing season. Stripes
Well said. Smack talk is pretty pointless amidst the mediocrity. Here's to 2007, you bastards.

But there was no joy in the season. The final result merely underscored how underachieving both teams were this year; we collectively finished at 16 and 16. The collective game score was 35-33 (and would have been 35-34 allowing for an extra point on the last score, denied because of overtime). But we were both even not by chance, but because neither of our teams played anywhere near their potential. Next year, let's bring it on! Here's to a 2008 playoff game where someone gets sent home pissed off!Tom
SteelerFan87
TDB, keep that sig up untill next year and I might not be able to talk smack against you ever again. But yeah, this year sucked. But it is kind of nice knowing that at least we took the Bengals down with us. (and I don't lose my bet with duus!)

But it is kind of nice knowing that at least we took the Bengals down with us. (and I don't lose my bet with duus!) Ah, if there really ever WAS a bet. Seriously, how anyone who is a fan of either of these teams can come out of this year with any positive feel is beyond me. If you sit here right now and have any level of satisfaction, you are surely a completely misguided blind homer fan. I don't think you are. I think you, for some crazy reason, got wrapped-up in a poorly played game on both sides. Enjoy it if that is what makes your season. As for me, as I said going into the game, win or lose, an underachieving season is just that. Who in their right mind cares how you finish? Such statements are for losers. Winners finish better than 8-8 and miss the playoffs. That is where both teams are right now ... losers. Just a fact. Until next year.
