What I learned today

1) Although we were playing a weak Browns team (btw you think Romeo is calling Charlie up and asking about Brady Quinn a lot these days?), we still shut out an NFL team. We need to build on this and build on the Carson-OCHO connection (which has literally dominated the last 3 games). I think we need to run Rudy a bit more but other than that we looked like a playoff team today. Henry has stepped up alot since being suspended.

2) In today's sports world of instant HYPE and instant gratification, I think the downfall of many players/teams is because we and the media especially are WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY to quick to give someone credit so quickly.

For example:

Eli Manning: is it agreed that he was entirely overrated coming out of college because of his last name? Its obvious. Getting beat by the Titans and Vince Young having a better day tha you is ridiculous. He's never been more than a mediocre QB so far in his career.

Michael Vick: probably the most overrated QB in my lifetime. continues to lose. has 1 or 2 good passing games and people start kissing his arse. when he plays like crap for 14 games a year and plays 2 good games a year, which do you think he really is people???? God I dont even want to get into how much I hate this guy and what he represents.

Rex Grossman: Remember the first 6 games of theTyear he was gonna lead the Bears to a Superbowl and be MVP? Well looks like his play has DRAMATICALLY FALLEN OFF THE EARTH the past month or so. Yet another terrible game today against a playoff caliber team. He's not that good folks.

Right now I think the media and fans should keep a level head about our Bengals. Yes we have the potential to be a playoff team. Yes we have some of the best talent in the league. But lets just keep our minds right and keep pluggling away.

I mean I know this sounds repetitive and almost cliche but THE MODEL team in the NFL today are the Patriots. It took them winning a superbowl and having two excellent seasons for anybody to give them any credit. They just quietly kept winning and nobody hyped them up until they actually won.

Great win today. I'm gonna celebrate with an Irish Car Bomb

Assuming we don't spot the f*ckers 14 points in the first 2 minutes of the game, I think we'll handle Balt just fine next week. The O just need to keep doing what it's doing.

u cant blame vick for those drops lol

Yeah, that's what he keeps saying too. Great QBs don't sell out their teammates and coaches. Vick does it all the time.

Exactly, take Carson for example, even when its NOT his fault, he will STILL take the blame for everything.

Vick throws his teammates under the bus.

For anyone to defend Vick by saying "u cant blame vick for those drops" is just plain dumb. What about all of the times when he has receivers OPEN, but he just takes off running with it? what happens?

I'LL TELL YOU WHAT HAPPENS you have a QB who runs for 166 yards(wow...lol) but only throws for

84 yards..LOL and they lose by 18 points......I say that you DEFINATELY can blame VICK for those drops because if his dumb a$$ would get his WR's involved by throwing to them more than running it himself, they would get into sync with one another......just imagine how frustrating it must be for a WR to play in Atlanta, running your route, giving effort, getting open, only to have your selfish a$$ QB take off running with the ball, VICK is a JOKE !

I love how carson always takes blaime for things that aren't even under his control...But I don't blaime vick right now year after year he gets hated on for not being typical QB for being overrated and has such has expectations compared to other players.

If vick had actual elite WR's he would be one of the most dangerous QB's in the nfl.

1. Henry's the man

2. I agree with your statement about the media being to quick hype a player of team. (Now it's all about Romo. Let's see how that pans out.)

3. Eli's in a slump, he'll get it turned around.

4. Vick doesn't have any recievers.

5. Rex is absolutely terrible and will probably still be voted into the probowl **laff** (because of media)

6. Bengals never get any credit. We have so many starters out and the toughest schedule in the league and no one mentions that we are doing such an excellent job. If we go 9-7 that would be nothing less than a great year considering what we are up against. I still say 10-6 though.

7. Patriots never, ever, ever get any credit. They're in the top 3, if not the best team in the league. They haven't been respected this whole year up until yesterday.
