BengalChamps
That was a really dumb call. I almost broke the TV. Wrong play at the wrong time, and it was poorly designed. It had no chance. I dont think CP would have called his own number there. Brat must have made that call.
agreen_112
Although I don't like the call, you have to realize that the other team had no Idea that we would run something like that. I still think a pass would have been the way to go. The line played awesome yesterday. .
Tasher
I think it was supposed to surprise the Saints the same way that the Manning bootlegs have surprised the D's playing hte Colts.BUT, it needs to be a bootleg to the corner, not a draw up the middle. And, Watson needs to go with Palmer, IN FRONT OF HIM to keep him clean, thank you very much. skyline
Good idea, poor execution.
BlainThePain
If Watson would have been in front of Palmer that play might have worked. I like the idea of a QB draw on like the two yard line, but anything longer than that needs to be a pass.
walshfan
Watson made the team because he was good at picking up the blitz and his overall blocking in general..Well that certainly went out the door this year!Ive seen him miss more blocks this year than Id like to count..Watson may be replaced next season for someone allot less expensive and that can block better! SkinneymulleT
Franchise player, goal line, pro bowl back, pro bowl recievers, sneak = bad idea, dumb dumb dumb!
alleycat
Do we know for a fact that it was a planned draw? I thought it was live and cursed Brat, but on the replay they showed from behind the O, it looked like Palmer looked to his right at Watson as though he was expecting him to run across him for a SHUFFLE PASS. Perhaps I am reaching here, but it's the only logical explanation - because an actual draw featuring one of the least mobile QB's on the planet is beyond stupid. Kazkal
Franchise player, goal line, pro bowl back, pro bowl recievers, sneak = bad idea, dumb dumb dumb!Thats why they did it when you got all that who thinks QB draw

He is Rutgers versatile FB. He could be our 3rd string RB and backup FB.

derekshank
It was an interesting idea... but we were a few to many yards away for a guy like Palmer to be able to do it. It's a call that is meant to catch the defense off guard... but Palmer is even slower this year than last year because of the knee, and he's not exactly a make-you-miss kind of runner. I'll be okay if we don't see that call again unless we're on the 1-yard line.
Kazkal
No way Leonard falls to the 4th.We'd be lucky to trade down get early 3rd but my money is hes a 2nd rounder for sure....though I'd love to have him take watsons roll as blocking back,Backup fullback and Hback. Stripes
I liked the call, but as Derek mentioned... too far from the goaline.
