BengalszoneBilly
I'm wondering if this is an Al Davis type manuever, meaning give me what I want, or I'll take my toys and go play elsewhere!Link!
agreen_112
That's exactly what that means. No way in hell will the 49ers leave San Fransisco...
DC_Bengals_Fan
That's exactly what that means. No way in hell will the 49ers leave San Fransisco...In fairness, they're talking about moving to Santa Clara. That's leaving SF about as much as the Giants and Jets "leaving" NY by playing in the Meadowlands. Or the Redskins playing in Landover, MD. Or the Patsies playing in Foxboro. It really doesn't make sense for teams to have stadiums in the core of big cities, because 1) it clogs traffic hellaciously when it's already bad enough, and 2) those areas don't need stadiums to bring people downtown anymore, because the downtown areas are already revitalized with many other attractions. Downtown SF doesn't need sports anymore. And there are probably more 49er fans in the south bay area anyway.

I have to say that the 49ers are my favorite NFC teams despite the fact they beat us in the SB..... TWICE!
