Kirkendall
Alright guys, now the QB, RB, and WR positions have been set we need to discuss the best bengals Tight Ends in its history. My vote goes for Bob Trumpy.

jjakq27
They have very comparable stats but I will take Bob Trumpy over Rodney Holman. I gave Dan Ross some consideration but he didn't play long enough. Trump averaged over 15 yds per reception during his career.

LABengalsFan09
Rodney Holman...comparable receiver to Trumpy, but a better blocker, paved the way for James Brooks to bounce his runs to the outside...

Kirkendall
Trumpy played in 85 games less and still comparable to Holman.
JBrooks
Hell of a comparison grid, Brew Man.Very close indeed. But I'd have to go with Holman. Yards per catch was obviously better for Trumpy, but by less than two yards. If you take out his years with Detroit (because this is best Bengal TE), and his first two years, when he wasn't a regular, each guy put in:Holman: 313 catches, 4296 yards, 13.7 average, 33 TDTrumpy: 298 catches, 4600 yards, 15.4 average, 35 TDAdd that Holman was a better blocker, and I'd have to give the edge to Holman...because that's where my boy Brooks was going--around the edge due to a great seal block by Holman. And who can forget that sick fake field goal against Pitt that Holman took for a first down? Barbarian
I'll have to agree--that was some great comparisons. I'm impressed.Trumpy had better numbers in less games.Aw, what the heck, I'm sticking to Holman. He was too good.
Bengals44
TrumpyHolmanRossHolman benefited from a system w/ an incredible OL, Eddie Brown and Tim McGee stretching the feild big time and the NFL's best running game - he found creases easier than the other two... The munbers are close, but I have to go w/ Trumpy due to this... Ross had fantastic hands...
