CarsonPalmer9
I have just heard this on ESPN that chad was fines $5,000 dollars for wearing ocho cinco on the back of his jearsy last sunday vs the falcons. That is one of the most stupid things i have heard that the NFL has fined someone. What are your thoughts on this? Lets beat the Ravens!!!Who Dey
agreen_112
Good, he shouldn't do stupid little s**t like that to get on the camera. He needs to get serious about the game instead of getting puplicity. Chad's funny as hell but there has to be a limit.
BigBenBlows
Anything for publicity. That's why they are called uniforms. I agree with the fine. $5,000 isn't squat to him anyway.
San Antonio Bengal
I could care less about what kind of antics Chad does. All I care about is him finding the endzone on Sundays. Pay the fine and move on. No story here.
CPalmer9
it was funny but definately deserved a pocket change fine
bengal4life
I read or heard something about him trying to appeal the fine. For reasons I'm not sure. I don't think he should have been fined just because he didn't actually step foot on the field with it on. Palmer had ripped it off before he had a chance to. That's like getting fined for having your helmet off on the sidelines. I realize he shouldn't have did it in the first place, but I think he does have a point if that is the reason why he is appealing it. derekshank
I think the fine was a bit stupid. He tore it off before kick-off. He had it on for about 20 minutes during warm-ups. I have a hard time believing that Chad trying to have a little bit of pre-game fun is worth a $5,000 check. The NFL has proven they don't really have a sense of humor... but whatever. It's not my money. I don't think the fine was really justified, but oh well.
Stripes
Palmer showed how much he liked it when he ripped it off with a look of disgust on his face. That made me laugh more than the "ocho cinco" sign itself.I think the fine is lame, but oh well no big deal.

He sure ripped that thing off with *authority*, as Marv Albert would say. Think he gets sick of Chad's antics occasionally? As for the fine, I'll give the league on thing: they're damned consistent on this sort of thing. Messages of any kind will not be tolerated anywhere on the jersey. Period. I agree it seems no fun, but if they start making loopholes, then they get into the position where they start having to make judgement calls on 100 uniform "messages" every week, and they don't want to do that. I don't blame them.Hell, they even made Plummer stop wearing something Tillman-related after he died, although if memory serves me correctly they let that one slide a week or two
derekshank
The Palmer ripping it off thing looked staged to me. Reminded me of the Janet Jackson "wardrobe malfunction."

BengalPimp
DEAR NFL,Take Chad's $5,000 fine and BUY yourself a sense of humor.....that was pure comedy...Now, if he had gone on the field with that, i might understand the fine, but c'mon it was duribg warm-ups and he was on the sideline.
