PMThor
We were right there. We had St. Loo all year. They were in our pocket, and we blew it. We could have been there, the World Series Champs. Look at St Loo, they have the worst record in history as a champ. Ever. And we as the Reds, had them. We did. We did. I am pissed. That should be us.
Stripes
The Reds would have been the little playthings of any postseason team facing them. The pitching sucks, the defense sucks, and the situational hitting sucks. Add that up, throw it into a pot, and mix in some playoff baseball, and the result looks like what is currently resting in my clogged toilet. On a lighter note, congrats to the Cards and their fans. That's a great baseball town, and I'm glad to see them win it if it ain't us.
rwalling
Why would we want Jeff Weaver or Josh Hancock? They clearly aren't as good as the pitchers we have! Grr. BTW, check out the Reds record this year against the "world champions"
Stripes
BTW, check out the Reds record this year against the "world champions"Had the Reds finished a championship season without beating the Cards a single time, I wouldn't have given a crap. BTW, check out the Reds record this year against the "world champions"Gee I dont know why you wouldnt want Hancock back, he was a huge catalyst in our bullpen, and Weaver, well, his postseason speaks for itself. Its not about the big names like the yankees, its about TEAM, and someone different stepping up every night. Its not about, oh god Adam Dunn didnt hit 3 homeruns tonite, he sucks, trade him, bench him, its not Adam Dunns team, its every single one of those guys team. When I sit here and read you guys bitching about him its like cmon guys, its not all his fault you guys lost the division, TEAM EFFORT lost that division!!!! Jim Edmonds strikes out more than Adam Dunn Im sure, but Cardinal fans dont sit here and say Oh we lost tonight because Edmonds struck out 5 times, that might have had something to do with a loss, but its not the main factor why, they lost as a team!!!! As soon as you all realize this baseball is a team effort you all will look at the Reds in a different light!!!
Stripes
First off, Edmonds does NOT strike out more than Dunn... Dunn has set the Major League RECORD for strikeouts. Can't beat that. Also, Reds fans don't sit here and pretend Dunn is the only reason we lose. You obviously don't know a damned thing about our viewpoints on the team itself, and we don't need your arrogant lecture, Curt.In other words, STFU. Dont tell me you Reds fans dont blame everything on Dunn because you do, I have seen it typed on here!!! But what is funny is that Adam Dunn could come to St Louis and absolutely flourish!!!! Look at Larry Walker, his career was starting to go down the tubes till he came here!!! Bottom line here fellas, you cant talk s**t to me, ya know why, the Cardinals are the world champs, any other subject I will debate with you all, hell tell me how s**tty the Hurricanes are, cuz ya know why, I already know that!!!! 10 TIME WORLD CHAMPS!!!!!! SteelerFan87
Meh, Yadier Molina and Hector Luna are bitches, and because of them, I hate the Cardinals. I'm almost surprised Lloyd McClendon didn't go out and kick your asses again before any of the World Series games.Yeah, go ahead and say it. The Pirates suck. Trust me, I've already made enough jokes about how s**tty our ownership is that anything you say is just preaching to the choir.

Who do you guys have at catcher, yeah, when you guys get a better catcher than Molina come talk to me. Luna is with Cleveland now, which makes your rationale stupid. Dont talk s**t about a team that has won their division many many many more times than your s**tty ass team, and furthermore the Pirates have been red headed step childs since Bonds left bitch. So I advise you stick to what you do best and thats " Steelers this, and the Bengals suck this bad, and blah blah blah blah f**king blah!!!! Idiot!!!!By the way how many men has your catcher picked off singlehandedly the last two seasons, well that would be our catcher Molina with 16, 16 outs by himself, and does your catcher throw out more than 50% percent of all basestealers, no he doesnt!!!!! Stick to what you know and thats talking s**t about the bengals, idiot!!!!
SteelerFan87
Lol. Do you even know who our catcher is? Ronny Paulino, a rookie, who damn well could have been rookie of the year.Lets compare stats:Batting Average:Paulino: 310Molina: 216RBI:Paulino: 55 (on the Pirates)Molina: 49 (on the Cardinals)Hits:Paulino: 137Molina: 90OBP:Paulino: .390Molina: wasn't even in the top 50Baserunners Caught Stealing:Paulino: 38 (2nd in MLB)Molina: 29So yeah, he's a rookie, and he's better than Molina offensively, and in some ways defensively. Plus just look at our pitchers' ERAs before and after he became the starter. It's night and day. So yeah, I'm quite content with Paulino, especially since he doesn't bitch about stuff like Molina. "Waaa, they're stealing my signs! Waaaa!!!"As for Luna, I didn't know whether he was still on the Cards, nor did I really care. I just remember that time he kicked his spikes into Jose Castillo's leg. And, didn't I say that whatever you said about the Pirates wouldn't affect me, because trust me, I know they suck ass, and I hate our owners.Oh, and I liked this: "Dont talk s**t about a team that has won their division many many many more times than your s**tty ass team". Uh, you do realize we could switch sports to football, and then oh look, your own statement can be used against you.

Thats what I thought, and furthermore no I didnt know about Paulino cause I get to hear about two constantly superior catchers in AJ and Barrett all the time so no, outside of Pittsburgh nobody cares who your catcher is. And yes I should hope he does have more rbi's and hits considering he hits behind some horses who drives runs in, including Eckstein, Duncan, Rolen,Albert, and Edmonds, and hitting behind the best player in baseball no less in Pujols. And who do the Pirates have for thumpers, Bay, LOL. And thats funny when you make a lame ass argument, awwww poor whoever got a boo boo from Hector Luna, DEAL WITH IT s**t HAPPENS!!! WOW and then turn the argument to a different direction and bring up the f**king steelers, because thats you losers life blood there, since I guess the Pens and Pirates suck, and all of the Pittsburgh teams combined dont have as many titles as the Cardinals on their own. Steelers have what 5 titles, the Pens have 2, and the Pirates have what 3, dont know, dont care. All I know is your guys preached on one for the thumb, I guess the Cardinals moicker should be one for each finger on both hands, I figured I would take this completely off base since you did. SteelerFan87
Wow Curt, I don't know whether to laugh or cry at your stupidity. "Who has more rings?" Hahahahahaha! You know how much you'd bitch at me if I used that in a Steelers vs Bengals arguement? Anyway, if you're trying to ask which Catcher has more rings, how long did it take Molina to get one? Paulino's a rookie, so obviously he doesn't have one yet.And AJ Pierzynski and Michael Barrett? What do they have to do with this? Wow, um, ok, so you know about the catchers for the 2 chicago teams... ok.... great. How does that have anything to do with Paulino again? And why haven't people heard of Paulino? I don't know, maybe because he's a ROOKIE on the PIRATES. If he was on the Yankees, people would be talking about him alot, but since nobody knows anything about the Pirates, nobody knows about him.And you just proved my point with the RBI thing. Molina is on a much better offensive team, yet he has less RBIs than Ronny Paulino. And then you say I should "get over" Luna injuring Castillo? Hmm, whining about a player getting injured... where have I heard that before... hmm, where have I heard that before on BENGALSzone? Oh that's right! Carson Palmer! How about this Curt, I'll "get over" Luna's spike kick on Castillo when you "get over" Kimo's hit on Palmer.Hahaha, your whole post is hilarious, because it's so full of hypocrisy! So rings matter only when it suits your arguement, and injuries are only important when it's your players who are injured? Hahahahaha. And no, the Pens don't suck. Heard of Crosby and Malkin? Probably not, since you don't even have a hockey team, do you? Anyway, we're 6-3 and in first place in our division. Yeah, that really sucks, eh? (sarcasm)And the Pirates have 5 World Series, not 3.And, once again, you don't have to tell me the Pirates suck. Everyone it Pittsburgh knows how much they suck, and we aren't in denial about it, nor would we start braging about being the best team ever if we win the division (cough cough bengals fans cough) So telling me the Pirates suck isn't really affecting me at all, because actually I've come up with better jokes about how bad they are. Like I said when the Pirates are no longer the national league whipping boy, and actually win 5 more titles please then I will debate with you who's team is better, by the way when did the Pirates last make it to the playoffs, oh yeah thats right I remember seeing them get beat by the Braves in the early 90's, thats right Sid Bream eliminated them!!!!!! Very fond memories. I moved to Pissburgh in '91, and this event followed soon thereafter. I remember the night very well. The girl I was dating lived on campus at Pitt. We were watching this game in my apartment when it came time for her to leave. I walked her back to her dormroom and walked into the dorm just as the play took place. Ah, the sad faces. I cheered. I jumped. I was overjoyed. I tried to give highfives, but they would not have any of that for some reason. Oh well. It all turned out just fine. That girl (Pissburgh-born herself) married me. Years later, after she has been fortunate enough to experience what the world outside of Urine-land looks like, she now considers herself Pissburgh-born, but not a Pissburgher. I love her. I love her oh so much.Oh yeah, this was about the Reds. She is a fan of them now too. Her Pirate shirt has long ago experienced it's death in a little ceremonial burning in our backyard in Pissburgh. How many times have your Bengals been to the playoffs? Not as much as the Steelers. And how many rings do they have? None? Ok, Curt. I'll talk to you about baseball when the Pirates win 5 World Series, and you talk to me about football when the Bengals win 5 Super Bowls. Or any at all.And duus, I see that girl has no taste or loyalty. Giving up Pittsburgh for Cincinnati? Wow. If she was a decent Pittsburgher she'd have slapped you for your reaction to that game.
