BULLDOGG
I hope that this is the year the Bengals use their top pick to select the best TE available, and for a few reasons. First-round tight ends are usually productive players, if not stars, in the NFL. From Kyle Brady to Tony Gonzalez to Jeremy Shockey, all so far selected that high have had decent careers, not to mention 3 in our own division in Heap, Winslow (who has come back with a vengeance) and Miller. It helps in the running game, where our tight end is usually lined up in the backfield on third and long and in the short game, while also making our offense less predictable. We've seen recently that Carson is not afraid to throw to the TE's and one that could stretch the field, would help the entire offense and a 3 WR receiver set with Chad, T.J., Henry and a receiving TE would be virtually impossible to defend. Greg Olsen from Miami would be a good fit If not in the first round of the draft, I would like to see Cincinnati sign a stud like "Benjamin" Watson or L.J. Smith, who I believe is a free agent..In the second and third rounds, Cincinnati has to address the DT position. I like Sam Adams, but he is long in the tooth and the others (Robinson and especially Thornton) are massive underacheivers. Peko has some potential, but we need another explosive tackle with some ability to stop the run. Quinn Pitcock of Ohio St. or Alan Branch from Michigan would look good in Bengals stripes.I also would like to see us take another outside linebacker or defensive end.....and a backup QB for the future would be nice, too. Some people may be surprised that I haven't mentioned a Center, but Guiachac had a very solid game against Kris Jenkins last week that was promising. Centers always take the most time, maybe of any position in football, to develop. Remember when Braham was bad enough to be waived in training camp by the Phoenix Cardinals, as a third round pick? I think he'll be fine in time, along with Wilkerson.

Kazkal
I've been a supporter of drafting a TE but first I say we look at FA sense a few good TE"s are hitting the market...But still I would only wanna see us draft a TE if its BPA and we trade down and its still the BPA then I might not complain But there are other postions that should be looked at before TE>
cincy9275
would love to see pitcock in stripes. he has been unblockable this season . during the mich st game he was just pushing there oline around and consistantly beating double teams like he was playing against high school kids . one of the most impressive games i have seen from a buckeye d-lineman in long time and OSU has had some damn good d-lineman. also i believe he leads the team in sacks with 7. I think that's what we need more than anything. A pass rush up the middle.
DuffMan
Even with the injuries to WR, OL, LB, and the lack of an exciting TE i think defense has to be our priority for depth and a difference maker. Essentially every position but LB needs an influx, whether it be a DT or DE that can get to the QB or a safety to step in next to Madeiu. Tory James need to be phased out too. It's hard to tell now what d-line candidates we should consider since players are either surprising people or shedding off their preseason hype. There should be a boatload of good safeties this year, whether or not any of them will be considered a difference maker come april. I want to say Brandon Meriweather from Miami, but he seems like the kinda player the Bengals need to avoid these days (a bit undersized + run-ins with the law). Lamar Woodley has been a nice edge rusher this year and carries a good amout of weight, and his teammate DT has been drawing rave reviews from people as well. I'm wondering how long until people start throwing the 3-4 talk around as the draft approaches. Is Polumalu as FA this year? I hear him and Carson are good buddies

Stripes
would love to see pitcock in stripes. he has been unblockable this season . during the mich st game he was just pushing there oline around and consistantly beating double teams like he was playing against high school kids . one of the most impressive games i have seen from a buckeye d-lineman in long time and OSU has had some damn good d-lineman. also i believe he leads the team in sacks with 7.I usually hate the idea of drafting a small defensive tackle, but I'm not sure what to think about Pitcock. With a bigger presence in Sam Adams or Domata Peko standing next to him, he might have the room to use that high motor to pressure the quarterback pretty consistently. He'd be a lot like John Thornton, only better hopefully.
Kazkal
Pitcock would be good for hybrid defense.he could be in as a 4-3 tackle then move over as a 3-4 end.
schweinhart
I'd say pass on Pitcock in the 1st but I do like the idea of drafting a RDT who can get penetration. Last year I thought John McCargo would still be around in the 2nd and was all for that but I think they've settled the need there with Peko and Thornton for another year. They need as much power and quick twitch and backside pursuit at that position as they can get but I really don't think a Day 1 pick for that outweighs other needs that are more pressing. But if came to RDT in the 1st, I'd rather see them take Tank Tyler over Pitcock.
