My first thought was about this weekend, and my second thought was how much lobbying was going on to get this guy here last offseason. I'm not saying I can predict injuries or anything, but this is one of those risks that goes along with big $$$ FA's. With the assistance of hindsight I think we did the right thing by staying out of the market for Abraham.

The official depth says that Paul Carrington is Abraham's back-up... but I think that Chauncey Davis is considered the better player, and will probably get most of the snaps. Either way... their D-Line is not nearly as good without Abraham... and even with him isn't as good as Carolina's which we handled pretty well. It should be a good match-up for us.

You could already smell the points regardless of J-Abe. Much as I wouldn't ever want to see Hindenz Ward running away for a long TD, it was somewhat interesting to watch the Mighty DeAngelo Hall neither be able to cover Ward or catch up to him for 40 or so yards. If they put Hall on Chad in man, Chad will absolutley waste that overblown POS.

Yeah, without a pass rush, the defense from the ATL is like shredded cheese. They have given up 900 yards in their last 2 games. They can be run on, and they can be passed on. D. Hall was much better last year, all of a sudden this year, he seems to have regressed. The Falcons play undisciplined football and have a lot of inner team turmoil between defense and offense.

Isn't he the same dude that refused to suit up for the Jets a couple years ago in that playoff game against the Steelers due to not wanting to play on a 'possible' injury to effect his FA status after the year?

Chauncey Davis, Abe's back-up is the one that put out Rottenburger.

Brooking is not being talked about much, but is a player to watch out for. As is Kerney.....
