joshh967
I don't know if it has been brought up here or not, but I was reading a different forum posting on bengals.com and someone claims that Marvin said something about c. perry being our 4th reciever with all the injuries present in our WR core. I personally am getting excited about the thought of him being introduced back into action quickly...he definatly needs to prove himself. What does everyone think? What does everyone think? Not entirely accurate, ML said that he could move wide, similar to what the Saints do with Reggie. But if you remember in the Indy game last year, CP was already split wide and caught a ball deep down the sideline. If you take note, the backfield is frequently "empty" with Rudi or whomever going out wide. This is nothing new. It probably means that we get into this situation more frequently to help spread the field and create mismatches with the defense. BengalByTheBay
Personally, I view it as a bad thing when you are forced to admit that you may line your RB up as a 4th WR. It's indicative of just how injured we are at WR. So, while I would be excited about novel 4-wide sets generally, I would rather just see it happen rather than hear about it prior to the game. Perry does give us another option and I think it could be just what the dr. ordered for Palmer when he's getting so little time in the pocket. However, it still seems like just a reaction to the injury problems rather than any real game plan adjustment.
Kazkal
Not really a bad thing perry lined up as a slot WR last year so this is nothing new...it will also get him more snaps 1st and 2nd down he can be slot WR 3rd down a RB
ShulaSteakhouse
Perry's not 100% yet either keep in mind, and is not in game shape. I'm sure they'll split him out wide in a few sets as always.
