Stripes
http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=2621860 Terrible story. He's a former Red too. R.I.P. man.
SteelerFan87
Terrible, terrible story. I just turned on ESPN and they were talking about it, and I was shocked. They were reporting earlier that 4 people were dead, but now they're saying it was 2, (Lidle and another person in the plane), as well as a few people with injuries, so I guess it could have been worse, but damn. Terrible tragedy.
jditty47
i think its 3 deaths, lidle and 2 others - a student pilot and another pilot. ya terrible story. and i dont care what lidle has said in his interviews prior to his death that those small planes are safer than cars, they are only safer cuz theirs less of them. small planes count for most of the deaths in the air. sad sad story though. NYBengalfan
Nahh... it was two deaths. It was Lidle and the Instructor.......Sad day in New York. I think he would have been in our staff next season. I am speechless
Superbowlbuc
Really sad story that really outs your life into perspective! We could be gone tomorrow and it's tough to think about. Rest in piece Cory Lidle and may the grieving not be too hard on his family and friends!
