Dan2330
Sunday night football has taken a step back with the new setup. I for one used to love watching both the early and late games and then quickly flipping over to 'Primetime' on ESPN to show me what I missed before the start of the Sunday Night Game. This was a nice setup of football all day and night. But now no more 'Primetime' thanks to NBC 'Football Night In America' or whatever they are calling it. Costas and Collinsworth often have a lot of 'dead air' while they are doing the highlights. To make up for things ESPN offers us 'The Blitz' on Sportscenter. This means sitting around all hour waiting for a few highlights at a time, often times having to wait for these in between watching highlights of LPGA golf and the such. LABengalsFan09
Guys, guys, there is always NFL Gameday on NFL Network. Have you seen it yet? It puts that boring nbc show to the curb. Seriously, the nbc show makes me drousy....

agreen_112
satelite sucks. so I'll never see the nfl network unless it comes to cable. FNIA sucks too. Do they have a similar show to Primetime on Monday nights b/f the game with Berman, Tom and the gang?Although I do miss the way it was setup last year, I'm happy that MNF is on ESPN now. The High Def is soooo much better than ABC or NBC.

SteelerFan87
Question. Who thought it would be a good idea to have Pink try to be like the MNF singer guy? WTF NBC. WTF.

WTF.God I don't know but whoever wrote that song should be shot. And her agent should be shot for letting her take the gig.By the way, what's with NBC's olympics-style coverage with Bob "block-o-wood" Costas and the recliners set up beside a fake fireplace? That crap's bad enough for the Winter Olympics, who thought that would translate to freaking FOOTBALL?This is why I believe that no network besides ABC/ESPN and FOX should be allowed to do games (okay, and the NFL network maybe, we'll see). If the NFL was thinking straight, doesn't letting crappy networks like CBS and NBC do games actually diminish the value of the product? They're TERRIBLE at covering sports.

The High Def is soooo much better than ABC or NBC.I don't know what satellite service you had but I have been a DirecTV subscriber for 11 years and never had a problem with them. I will NEVER go back to cable. And the NFL Network is on DirecTV and has been since its inception. You don't have to wait for the cable company to finish bickering with NFL Network as to how much you are going to get soaked for. I would bet that at the rate the cable companies work with negotiations, you will be lucky to get the NFL Network this season. But yes, I do miss Primetime and really don't care for the NBC group. I usually watch America's Funniest Videos until the game comes on. But I have to question NFL Networks choice for play-by-play with Bryant Gumble. He has never called a game above the high school level. So what makes him a good play-by-play? I guess it is because he doesn't know when to shut up. Hence his comments about Gene Upshaw and the new commish. If it was up to me, he would not have called a single game after that comment.
