BZBot
A 25-point beat down leads to questions about the Cincinnati Bengals and whether or not they really are part of the NFL elite.Source: http://www.bengalszone.com/article.php?sid=
JaxonFord87
This loss is what this team needed. I don't think that this will be a reacurring event this season. I expect the bengals to win at least 10 games, so we will lose some games. The first loss is always a downer. We now have an extra week to get some of our top players healed and back on the field. There is just one problem that I have. When the bengals play tampa, they will most likely win. People will start thinking that it was just a one week thing, so we have nothing to worry about. While that might be true, we still need to worry about it to prevent it from becoming not just a one week thing.

The run defense is as bad as last year and the OL can't keep the franchise from getting drilled. Steinbach needs to be at center. I understand that he will probably be gone next year, but address that in Training Camp next year. ML needs to use the bye to retool the OL, or it is only a matter of time before Radio is leading the offense.
Tasher
In Marvin's vernacular: a perfect "Teachable Moment" to use through the bye week.Plus we will get a bunch of guys healthy.Lets see what happens in the next 4-6 weeks... jditty47
ya we needed the loss quite frankly. we havent been playing good and have been winning, so playing bad and losing will teach us that we are going to have to improve or we will kill ourselves in the long run. we'll come out of the bye week blazing, im sure of it. Stripes
There's only one valid positive I can really pull from Sunday's game. The Bucanneers are going to get absolutely smeared come week six.

That's how it usually works, especially on a message board in which members follow a team more closely and with more sincere interest than most others. When something s**tty happens, of course we're going to be grumps about it.
ArmyBengal
Not to bust ANYONE'S balls whatsoever, but saying "I think this team needed a loss" is like saying, "I think we should thrown lawn darts at each others d*cks"... It's just not really a necessary thing to have happen !!! While I understand the concept, I hate hearing that. I also compare it to hearing, "We just need to tackle better"... NO SH*T !!!WHODEY !!!
