BengalszoneBilly
Don't just vote, tell us why you voted as you did.No containment, no coverage, no tackling...must I go on? The offense can't score unless the defense at least halfway does it's job! Marvin, Belichek played you. AGAIN.
Thepup
The best defense is always a good offense. The defense looked like crap, but Carson needs to call runs on 2nd and 2,he is trying to do to much.
cincy9275
well there is no place to vote for marvin because when he lost his balls and punted on 4th and short . that was the point when the game went down hill . we as a team was out coached even more than we were out played ! BengalszoneBilly
The best defense is always a good offense.Right. And the Ravens won today because of...a good offense!?! Puh-leeze!

aaronburr
Expectations are higher for the offense, therefore they're the greater disappointment.Even those first two drives, they took very little time off the clock and didn't get in the end zone. 101Airborne
I voted Offense but they both did an equally poor job. Carson was not great but that has a lot to do with the O-line. This week and last they have allowed far too many sacks, how can a QB sewttle in and throw when he has a defender constantly in his face? While we know our defense is not the best, we expect more out of our offense than this, thus they are the bigger let down even if the blame is equal. Talk about the play calling, the lack of adaptation in the 2nd half.Somebody have the rushing defense stats from the first half vs. the second half? Pretty much what they're paid to do. On the other hand...
Pinkygen
Defense. Once again, manhandled on the run. Got us behind, and let the Patriots chew clock as well. Offense looked worse because it was rushed trying to play catch-up.
rwalling
Voted D. What about 200 yards rushing is hard to understand?Down our strong safety and three linebackers our depth was exposed by a smart coaching staff and a talented offense.Really disappointed with Big Sam and BSimmons in particular.Way too many wide open passes to the TEs. No pressure at all. Where do you start? Did anyone on D play well?

Puh-leeze!So if you keep the other teams offense off the field, that doesn't help your defense? It helped the Bengals defense the first 2 games. ArmyBengal
The f*cking defense got ran the F*CK over !!! How does a potential Super Bowl team give up that many f*cking yards ?? Boy I'm pissed about that more than anything !!! This is the first time I can remember actually being pissed off at Carson. He f*cked up today pure and simple and someone needs to tell him to pull the d*mn ball in !!!Oh yeah, where the hell was a pass rush today ?? Boy I'm good and pissed off !!!WHODEY !!! rishipatel
Offense was bad too, but I voted defense. This game was just f**king ridiculous. We might as well not have put a defense on the damn field. It's not like they did anything. Could they miss more tackles? How is it that 7-8 guys get a hand on Maroney and he still gets in to the damn endzone? Marvin needs to turn this bulls**t around NOW! We played like a team that hadn't done any preparation. How is it that our stellar WR corps couldn't manhandle the Pats 3rd corners? Chad Scott is their damn 3rd stringer! This should have been a lop-sided game, but in OUR favor. I am just so f**king pissed off right now. Hope the extra week let the team get healthy and fix the leaks! WHO-DEY!
Kazkal
Offense let us down some but its not problem we scored 98 pts in 1st 4 games this year and are 3-1...... last year we scored 104 pts and were 4-
CBin2k7
The defense is the problem, and I think it goes back to Chuck Bresnahan. New England does not have more talent than the Bengals on defense, but they certaintly out schemed us. The Bengals run a very mediocre defensive scheme, and it shows...on tape and on the field. The coaching staff never seems to make in game adjustments. It's a 3-1 start, and we've got 12 games to go, so I would hope to see serious improvement over the next 4 games or this team may fall short of expectations. The_Next_Big_Thing
Eric Gutcheck is the biggest reason we lost. Because of his failure to make the right oline calls, Carson gave up the ball and did his very own Kitna impersonation. If the center can't get the line blocking right, we are doomed. DontPushMe
Who let the team down the most? How about the scum that keeps getting suspended, leaving the team undermanned and distracted. Or maybe the coaches who continue to bring this crap in here.
bengalsrz
The D sucked a lot more IMO.
JungleFanatic
I voted Defense but honestly an all of the above option would have gotten my vote instead. Tough game to watch but I believe we'll bounce back after the bye.WHO-DEY
schweinhart
Seems like the only time Brady got hurried was a bullrush by Justin Smith.....This team had zero pass rush today and gave the Pats RBs pasture-sized holes to run through too often. For all the strides that looked like might have been made this offseason on defense, especially vs. the run, this game was disheartening to watch. Way too many big plays to boot. Not sure what they can do to turn it around but Dex Jack back would help as would Tory James on the field less, better lateral speed at LB to deal with cutback runners with lots of speed like Parker and Maroney and a DE who's got more ability than both B-Rob and Jumpy.
