redsbengalsbucks
You are missing the point. Sunday's are 100.9fm night at Annies. They put up checkpoints and pull over Escalades. I have lived in Cincy for 31 years, I have never seen a DUI checkpoint at a major intersection outside a white bar, even though there are white bars with just as many drunk people. Again, I put myself in other peoples shoes. If you think racial profiling (or whatever) doesn't exist then you are fooling yourself. So because you've never seen one means they don't exist?Basically yes. I have been known to frequent bars in this area 3 days a week for the last 15 years. The point needed to be made whether people agree with me or not.Sounds to me like you should be happy that there are no checkpoints in that area, because you sir have a problem 3 days a week for 15 years says longterm alcoholic. smith288
Your talking about 3 kids who are fresh out of college. This is probably the first time in their lives that they've had a little bit of money, actually a lot of money. I'm 23 and if I hit the lottery for a few million I'd be acting a damn fool too. You have no idea what it's like to be in their shoes, you probably couldn't walk a foot in their shoes. What kind of person would actually talk like that, "Don't you think this only perpetuates the image problem?", not a kid from the streets. Geeker! For you to call McNeal a moron, is just plain stupidity. I bet u grew up in at least a middle class, if not upper, and had mommy and daddy give you everything. Their Outlaws, somebody call the calvary! They'll never change, their just a menace to society. STFu! I know hundreds of kids their age doing the same thing just about everynight. Go to any bar, any night of the week and watch how many young kids get into their car and drive after drinking.I dont get your point... So just because they are young and have money, then they shouldnt be held to the same standard as older rich people, or older poorer people or... I dunno, I forget what point I was addressing here besides admitting that you would also DUI if you were rich which isnt very comforting for those who believe drunk driving is a horrible thing to do for yourself as well as the hundreds of innocents you are putting in risk for selfish reasons. agreen_112
you obviously didn't read the quote from the geeker that I was adressing who called McNeal a moron. The point is: "They're young and dumb" and made a mistake. Big deal! If you've ever partied a day in your life then you know what it's like to be that age and go out to have a good time. I'm not condoning what Odell did, but I still respect the guy and don't want to see him go to another team only to come back and haunt us. He's got the potential to be a superstar LB'r. That of Ray Lewis, Lavar Arrington, Brian Urlacher, and safeties John Lynch, Roy Williams, ect. ect. ect. Odell Thurman can very well be in that tier of superstar's. Henry and Odell are plural and arent correcting their behavior. If that continues they wont be helping ANYONE else but the state pen's football team. I find it rather easy to not carry guns around and not to point weapons at people and not to get lit up on marijuana or liqour and drive around town making u-turns or break parol. In fact, its the easiest thing for me NOT to do. It takes very little effort to not do that sort of thing. Why is asking these young guys to just friggin act like adults with responsibilities to themselves, their team, their community and their families too much to ask?Im only 29, i was their age at one time and I found it remarkably simple to not get into these sorts of problems.Excusing their behavior because of youth is a problem that isn't resolving the issue. Im just glad the law doesn't handle it that way.

derekshank
WHAT DID ODELL DO? HE MADE 1 MISTAKE!!! Lighten up dog...You don't get a 4 game suspension for 1 mistake. It takes at least 2... so this is at least #3.. not including his checkered past in Georgia. Counting is fun.

derekshank
Whatever he missed a drug test... So call it what you want, It's one mistake.Even if that is the case (and by the way... that is just what he said, we don't really know if that is true) he would have needed to test positive at least once in order for a missed test to register as a 4 game suspension. You even stated yourself that you have to be in phase 2 of the drug program to get a 4-game suspension. Missing a test wouldn't register for that if he hadn't already made at least one... if not multiple previous mistakes. This "mistake" is one of many. We're tired of you telling us it was one. He's got a history of making mistakes... and it seems clear that Marvin is tired of it, even if you aren't.

Odell is just a bad seed I guess, he must not deserve to be a Bengal if you don't support him. He has messed up time after time after time and will never change, he's a thug. Great Job, hopefully we don't lose him for good to another team... IF we win the SB, does he still get a ring???
derekshank
Whatever man, you win!Whatever man... you're right I win. We all liked Odell and were disappointed... but you are the only one who has been in denial all this time. All you have done on this issue is attempt to make yourself sound smarter than everyone else, getting civil posters like me to dislike you and your arrogant, sarcastic, overconfident posts. Perhaps you'll remember the time you said this:It's very clear that a player won't be suspended until he is in the 3rd stage. Odell is actually in the 2nd stage according to cincinnatibengals.com. If this is considered a violation then he will most likely be moved up to the 3rd stage, but like I said its clearl that the player will not be suspended for 1 calender year until they violate the policy while in stage 3.Marvin shouldn't jump to conclusions like that. If they suspend him for 1 year, I smell a law-suit against the NFL.You arrogantly repremanded Marvin Lewis, who clearly knew what he was talking about... and then made fun of TJJackson for citing Hobson with this: Hobson, lol.gif lol.gif lol.gif . Nuff said! And, just maybe, you'll remember when I said this:I'm not sure exactly why you are arguing so strongly against this right now. Even if you are right there is no need to sarcastically make enemies. Also, the more volatile you come across, the less credibility you will have if proven wrong (i.e. note Spain's certainty regarding LeVar Arrington).Well Spain Jr... We're done listening to you. agreen_112
OMG, the sky is falling! I could give a care less if you or anyone else wants to listen. You seriously must have no life to sit there and take the time to monitor me, lol. That is seriously the funniest thing I've seen in awhile. This is a message board, right. Free to post my opinions about the Bengals and other topics, sorry u don't agree.
buck3y3d
http://www.channelcincinnati.com/sports/9926574/detail.htmlHERE ARE THE QUESTIONS I WANT TO ASK:DOES HYDE PARK SQUARE HAVE CHECK POINTS? OR DO THEY NOT CARE ABOUT WHITE GUYS DRIVING IN NICE CARS?ARE THERE MORE DRUNKS LEAVING ANNIES THAN MT. ADAMS....NOT REALLY!WHAT IS GOING ON HERE??(No, I'm a white guy)Thanks for letting us know that you are a white male. Personally, I just think you are a fool.Getting pulled over for a .17 is a case of racial profiling? Please, Id call that a case of DUI, not racial profiling.Prove to me the other 14 citations were all Black Males who were driving escalades (Yes, I love how you are adressing racial profiling and stereotyping at the same time), and then Ill believe you. When I lived in Cincinnati, I went to 100.9 (although it is 101.1 now I believe) nights all the time and I have never seen a checkpoint outside one.If you do something illegal (and he clearly did) you must be prepared to face the consequences.Ill put myself in Odells shoes: I have a ton of money, I want to go party? Ill get a limo, that way I can take some girls with me.Your talking about 3 kids who are fresh out of college. Go eat your donuts.Really that was a great, informative post. Im 18 and a freshman in college. I drink alcohol, I dont drive. If I were to get cited for underage drinking, I wouldnt complain about racial profiling or getting screwed by a fatass cop. Yea, people in the town I live in dont really like the college kids. Still, I am breaking the law.Yet, Odell, who has a s**t load of money is not guily of commiting a crime. Instead it is racial profiling, fatass cops, and everyone who wants to see a young black male fail. Give me a break. People should be responsible for their actions. I guess that makes me a hardass. You've stirred the pot with little evidence and ignorant assertions, congrats.

PMThor
Sorry Rye, you are just race baiting now.Once again, this has nothing to do with race whatsoever. Go believe what you want, and read my last post on the matter. Other than that, I won't be responding to you, because it is pretty transparent what you believe about the police in Cincinnati. Why don't you just come out and say that they, as a whole, are racist? Just get it over with. You know you want to...
