walzav29
The haven't beaten anyone that has won a game yet. Their offense is struggling and I don't think they will be able to hang with our boys. I think the Bengals will start getting seperation with the rest of the division. alleycat
Our opponents are 1-7.
in9itrust
Add to the fact that they barely beat the Browns. We killed them by atleast 2 possesions.
BlainThePain
There is already a thread like this in the NFL section.Like I said in the other thread, everybody was saying the same thing about the Bengals last year and we won the division. You can't tell about them either way untill they do play a playoff caliber team.
walzav29
All I know is that the Chiefs were supposed to be impossible to beat at home openers. The Bengals killed them. The Steelers won the Superbowl and the Bengals won. When they beat the Patiots that should do it.
membengal
Echo that there's already a thread on this. My thoughts are in there.
derekshank
I was impressed with the Ravens until they had to get a last minute 52 yard FG to squeak by the Browns. On the other hand... divisional rivals can be tricky. We've beaten solid teams. The records at this point don't speak to the quality of the opponents. Tasher
We had to kick a last second fieldgoal to beat the Brownies in OUR house last year. Don't underestimate the Browns, they are a pretty good ball club, they just need to be more consistent and get all the parts to come together. The Steelers won the Superbowl and the Bengals won. When they beat the Patiots that should do it.Some people didn't take a hard look at that Chiefs team. They lost 2 OT, replaced with one guy with 1 total start and one guy who's basically dead. They lost the head coach and replaced him with a guy who needs an assistant to help him manage the clock. They also lost the offensive coordinator who somehow got production out of a team with no usable WR. So basically, the Chiefs ain't so good, and this is something that was evident before the game. That said, every team has flaws. If they beat the Patsies, people will say they don't have a WR who could start for OSU or USC. I can't wait until the Indy game.
CBin2k7
Who cares about schedule strength. This isn't college football. All I know is that in the AFC North, the Bengals, Steelers, Ravens and Browns, share 14 of the 16 games. You play who is on your schedule, you beat them, you move on. I think the point is, can one determine how good a team is from drubbing a bunch of opponents with a collective 1-7 record?

The Bengals have not played their best game, but yet they are 3-0. Each game is different, every team you play is different. The Bengals had no problems with the Ravens last year (when they were bad), but the Steelers struggled in two games with them and lost one. in9itrust
Going 4-0 into a bye is the ideal situtation. Plenty of rest and maybe we'll get some starters back.
