walzav29
I heard from everyone how fat and washed up Sam Adams was when the Bengals signed him, but wow what a difference. Sacks, and against the run. The Bengals are going to have 2 double digit sackers for the first time since ALFRED WILLIAMS! That's crazy. Even when Sam isn't in there I think he wear's the o-linemen out. The proof is in the pudding. This is strange. I've never, ever seen the Bengals like this. They had expectations and are living up to them. I thought 2-2 when the schedule came out, but it can easily be 4-0. This is insane. Now we'll need the Steelers to help us out against the Chargers because we have to start working on homefield advantage.
ArmyBengal
I'm not going to root for the Steelers regardless as it's entirely to early to think the Steelers are just going to blow away. They are a TOUGH team and will be there throughout the season... GO CHARGERS !!!WHODEY !!!

I couldn't watch the game, but it looks like Peko was more active than Big Sam. I think he helps, but losing Pollack, Odell and DJax behind him hurts the D overall. As a defense we gotta quit overpursuing the ball.
Stripes
Agreed with the Peko mention. Parker was just killing the Bengals all through the first half. When Peko started to get in the game more later on, he made a difference in slowing down the Steelers.Sam Adams impressed me against the terrible lines of the Browns and Chiefs... but in his first test against a proven line, he didn't play very well IMO. The entire defensive line was pushed around all day long against the run.
HairOnFire
Shrug. Parker's cutbacks reminded me of Fred Taylor endlessly making the Bengals pay dearly for overpursuing in the loss last season, and as the isolation shots of the Steeler game proved Fat Sam was victimized repeatedly this year. I'd say we need to give the DE's credit for their own play. The pass rush against the Steelers and Browns has been spotty, but Geathers and Smith have a habit of getting pressure when it counts most. In fact, on Ben's last interception watch the replays of Geathers putting very heavy pressure on Roethlisberger despite being blatantly held. Kazkal
Anyone notice sam still has his quick firststeP? I thought he was going offsides almost every play he was in because he was hitting a linemen well everyone else was still in a stance
