Sportsdoc Posted September 25, 2006 Report Posted September 25, 2006 SOME COMMENTS FOR YOU GUYS TO CHEW ON.............1. O line pass blocking, esp Wille and Levi was awful. That was really 9 sacks not 6 if you look at the 3 forced fumbles. That is terrible, especially in light of the new contracts... although AWhit looked good when he was in2. Running attack was miserable... you guys tell me - bad play calling or bad blocking by the o line... might be better with CPerry back3. Can our linebackers stay in their lanes? I guess not. 4. Keeping Ben in the pocket is like keeping Troy Smith in the pocket.. they tend to do less damage... do Chuck B and the Defensive ends understand this?5. I think we missed RIchie a lot for the up the middle blitzes and line calls.....6. Ben will be better when healthy7. Carson has incredible guts as do the wide outs Quote
alleycat Posted September 25, 2006 Report Posted September 25, 2006 KK had a good game but I miss Dex. There was some talk during the game by Lap that he might be out for the year. Anyone know if there's any merit to this? If so, we're in for a long year.Of course, a lot of people on here will want to focus on the win and bemoan any criticism, but the beginning of this year is shaping up an awful lot like last year. Eventually, a bad run D will get us into some serious trouble. Quote
AGrizzlyBaer Posted September 25, 2006 Report Posted September 25, 2006 oh come on lets avoid the typical cincinnati fan post that we cant be happy with the win! we are 3-0 we beat the super bowl champs in there house with our offense having a sub par day! so enjoy boys and lets not complain! Quote
Kazkal Posted September 25, 2006 Report Posted September 25, 2006 FF count as a sack.2. Running attack was miserable... you guys tell me - bad play calling or bad blocking by the o line... might be better with CPerry backIt's called a great steelers front 7,how many teams had a 100yard rusher vs steelers last year?Ben will be better when healthyHe's not healthy I thought it took Ward only 10 days recover from the s ame thing so why can't ben Quote
bengalboomer7 Posted September 25, 2006 Report Posted September 25, 2006 Their are definitely questions. But don't championship teams find ways to win? Great teams win ugly, and we're 3-0 and haven't yet clicked and put into into full gear. it's a long season, and we'll perform better Quote
Kazkal Posted September 25, 2006 Report Posted September 25, 2006 like nfl network said every 3-0 team has questionmarksatm Quote
aaronburr Posted September 25, 2006 Report Posted September 25, 2006 6. Ben will be better when healthySo will the Bengals Quote
alleycat Posted September 25, 2006 Report Posted September 25, 2006 All I'm saying is our comp this year is 1-7 and even though we're pulling out W's, this smells an awful lot like last year.I have to say though, that during the second half I thought our D really stiffened up. It was as if our gameplan was totally screwed on both sides of the ball for the first half. Quote
HoosierCat Posted September 25, 2006 Report Posted September 25, 2006 Serious problems for the Bengals?Let's see: their record? 3-0.Division record? 2-0..Last team beat? Defending SB champs.Serious problems? Uhhh...yeah...if you are an NFL team *not* from Cincinnati...Yeesh, what does this team have to do to get some props...? Quote
aaronburr Posted September 25, 2006 Report Posted September 25, 2006 I don't fault fans for their caution or their enthusiasm, but let's keep things in perspective.1. A win's a win but we can always do better.2. We beat the Steelers and there ain't nothing wrong with that. Quote
ArmyBengal Posted September 25, 2006 Report Posted September 25, 2006 Yeesh, what does this team have to do to get some props...?I was wondering the same thing, because the announcers for the game seem to be choking on a lot of Steeler d*ck throughout the entire game. Oh well, let them say what they will... The Bengals are 3-0 and 2-0 in the division...F*CK YEAH !!!WHODEY !!! Quote

I dunno, I thought the announcing was OK, but that's unimportant. The important thing is that I've seen the Bengals lose this game.I saw them lose this game back in January of 1989 to the 49ers.I saw them miss an INT in her end zone right before Joe Montana cemented his legend.Today I saw a guy named Kaeshviharn make that pick. And the only thing I was shouting at that point was "GO DOWN GO DOWN GO DOWN THE GAME IS OVER GO DOWN!!!!!!!!!"And he did. And we won. And it was good. Quote
