BengalszoneBilly
It seems that each site that produces lists such as these are a little different in their manner in which they compile them. From top to bottom, I find my personal feelings run pretty close to how this website lays out their rankings.
derekshank
I don't know exactly how these are compiled... but I don't know how you can have the Steelers above the Jags right now. It seems pretty clear to me who the better team is.It would be one thing if the game came down to a fluky play where the Steelers lost... but Pittsburgh looked just awful. They were completely dominated on both lines of scrimmage. They only got 1 sack on defense and allowed the Jags to have the ball for almost 40 minutes.Oh well... they'll have a hard time staying in the top 10 when their record is 1-2. Those types of games happen to every team from time to time, but like you said, they'll probably drop from the top ten teams on almost anyones list upon falling to a 1-2 record. One can only hope! This week will shed much light on this poll...as the Bengals prepare to steal "the torch" from Pissburgh and while Indy meets the Jags. I think Indy is lucky this game is at home. The Jags may be the better team but I think Indy will win this game. Wouldnt' be surprised AT ALL to see JAX win the division from Indy - as the loss of Edgerin James has really changed their running game more than probably anyone could have expected. Taylor is running as well as ever in JAX - for now - and if Leftwich can play the QB "caretaker" role (see reference - Roethlisberger, Ben) then the Jags will be tough well into the playoffs.
