Edogger
ESPN had this story online this morning. I didn't realize they dealt him this quick. Wow and for a sixth round pick. What a deal! Enjoy...ESPN.com Article
ArmyBengal
And with the first pick of the 2007 draft, the Tennessee Titans take....That's all they ensured with this move !!!WHODEY !!!
Stripes
The Titans are stupid.Sucks to be Volek though... The Chargers had terrible depth a QB, but he's not likely to play much with Rivers learning the game.
bengalboomer7
Something happened here between Fisher and Volek. Had to for him to go from starter to third stringer like that. Volek pissed somebody off bigtime.
Stripes
They played an interview with Fisher on Sportscenter... he said Volek had been "untruthful about where he was and what he was doing at the start of training camp." He also said that the minute they brought Collins in, Volek began demanding a trade. Fisher said he wouldn't start a quarterback that wanted to be traded so desperately, and that's why he was downgraded to 3rd string.Fisher later contradicted himself by saying "when we brought in Collins, it was a unanimous decision to trade Volek" among those people in the Titans organization with a say in that sort of thing. So which is it, Jeff? Did Volek want to be traded because of Collins, or did you want to trade him because of Collins? I seem to remember Volek being downgraded BEFORE Collins was brought in as well, or at least it was rumored to happen.Based on what I saw in that interview, I'm inclined to side with Volek. ArmyBengal
Now with the comments by Fisher, I declare that situation "out of control" and "stupid"... Time to move on !!!WHODEY !!!
skyline
I tend to side with Jeff on this one.He brought in Collins because Young was banged up, and he felt insecure with the lack of experience behind Volek. Volek immediately demanded a trade and started causing all kinds of problems (and this isn't the first time he's done that). I also have to think that Jeff would have gone this direction at the beginning of preseason had he been in charge of personnel. Unfortunately, he has to go along with whatever Floyd "The Barber" Reese decides.
jditty47
i just want to know what fisher is claiming volek lied to them about. until that happens, who cares - chargers are a better team, volek should be happy - but he still wont play.
