In Sunday's stunning loss the Eagles not only lost the game but they lost a team leader.....(possibly career ending.)

Jevon Kearse tore his ACL, MCL and PCL. $hit there were doubts that Carson would comback after tearing his ACL and MCL in the playoffs last year, and he is back.

Im not an Eagles fan but Im gonna hope for a fast and speedy recovery for DA FREAK!!!!!

No!!!!!!!!!!!!! Say it ain't so! I saw this but was hoping is was rumor. I knew he hurt it but I was hoping the media was making a bigger deal out of it.

I know he wasn't a leader on that defense but surely he was a contributor! He will be missed... :(

Hopefully, it is not career ending...Good luck and speedy recovery Freak!

Correct me if I am wrong, but Daunte Culpepper suffered the same type of injury last season and he returned for this year. While I am sorry to hear the extent of the injury and I am trying not to be insensitive with what I am about to say, but the timing of injury will possibly allow him to fully recover for next season. It is just to bad it ruins this season for him and that is what it is so devastating for him, the team and the fans. Get Well Soon, Jevon.

So sorry to hear this, The Freak has always been a lot of fun to watch...except of course when he's lined up against my Giants. I know how much it pissed me off when he signed with you guys. That said, I hope he can make it back - never want to see injuries take anyone off the field, let alone a guy like Kearse.

I know so many Eagle fans have been dissapointed in Kearse's production, but I've felt like he was a player whose impact for Philly couldn't really be quantified. Even if he wasn't getting double-digit sacks, the offense always had to account for him, even double-team him. The Giants didn't, and I think he finished with about four sacks opposite a pretty decent right tackle. Thats no fluke, Kearse is a hell of a player.

Thing is though, we are talking about a DE. Kearse is putting on a lot more torque on his knee play in play out than any quaterback does outside of Vick. DEs take a ton of beating, more contact than any QB ever will.

The way that position plays is not condusive to coming back from this kind of injury. The legs are much too important, and I hate to say it, I don't see him being the same player down the line. That sucks too, he was great and I liked watching him.
