Ickey4Life
Does anyone else remember that when MNF moved to ESPN the NFL said that they have the flexibility to change the highlighted Sunday game, depending on what the most exciting match up was?So next week we have a very lackluster Patriots team going against an out-and-out awful Denver Broncos team for the big Sunday Night matchup. Is there anyone in the sports world who would rather watch that game than Cincinnati / Pittsburgh?Anyone think the NFL / NBC will step up and change game times in the middle of the season?I remember thinking this was a great idea when they originally mentioned it. A great idea, that is, if they actually implement it.-Davewhodave.blogspot.com

HoosierCat
I think they only get to change around games after week 10. So we're stuck with the early season crud.

And the Pats ain't much better, despite having one of the top QBs in the league.
agreen_112
The pats and broncos will be a good game. Your talking about 2 playoff teams from last year, surely they're not bad already. I would much rather see the Bengals on primetime, but I dont' want the Steelers to get any more pumped for the game. slf
As mentioned above, that is only for weeks 10-17, as indicated on the NFL league wide schedule - weeks marked * Note: One of the Sunday games will move to 8:15 p.m. Sunday night. are eligible for schedule shift. Makes a bit of sense, schedule shifts once the season is established and the contests start to make a bigger difference. I just hope Steeler / Bengals game on December 31 does not get moved to 8:15 pm Sunday night. Mix in late start extended tailgating and New Year's eve and I for one do not want to be on the highways after that game. Here is hoping the Bengals will have clinched another division title and the game will not matter by then. 1:00 start in the cold of winter suits me fine. Who Dey!
