Best and Worst Stadiums

If we are talking about Stadiums here, I think PBS is great !!! Not really a bad seat in the house and I think it's still cool that they decided to NOT put a dome on it when doing so might have gotten us a Super Bowl and brought some revenue to the City. Not that it would have sucked to bring in revenue, but there is just something about watching a football game out in the elements !!! Wouldn't want it any other way !!!

WHODEY !!!

The article is totally ridiculous.

He has no basis for his comments.

He makes opinions based on one game (apparently).

We don't know what game he came to, was it a Pitt game? A Cleveland game? A playoff game?

There is a monstrous difference between coming to a game when Pitt is in town, as compared to when Tampa is here. Of course the crowd is going to be berzerk during the Pitt game. It's all about perspective.

Oh and this article is utter BS. BS. He obviously is baiting fans to talk about what he said. The guy ain't stupid, even if he is flat out wrong.

Just a thought I had.

I know a guy who lives around here in Indiana, but grew up in Pittsburgh. He's a Colts fan, but also a Steelers fan because of his ties to both areas.

He went to Cincy for the Colts game last year, and wore all of his Colts gear. After the game he said the Bengal fans were incredibly nice to him, and congratulated him on a good game. He felt very safe, and mentioned how friendly they all seemed.

Then one Bengals fan told him "Hey... just make sure you Colts beat the Steelers next week." He mentioned to the group that he was a bigger Steelers fan than he was a Colts fan, and his exact words were "They turned on me!"

It really does matter what game you go to. Bengals fans aren't going to give a division rival fan a break. However, if it's a foe like the Colts that we can respect, even in defeat we are classy.

Unfortunately ive never been to a bengals game at PBS, but i was at the stadium once and it seemed nice. He seems to be basing his list on weird things, like sponsors and parking and stuff. He is right about RayJay though imo, I go there regularly for South Florida games (where i go to school) and everything is just awesome there.

Four or five years ago my son and I went to a Bengals game in Cleveland. We were dressed in full Bengals' attire. There was some good natured ribbing by the home crowd, but nothing out of line.

The Bengals were getting beat and we left with 5 minutes on the clock. I was amazed by the fact that there were very few catcalls as we made our way to the exit. I honestly think the fans were being "nice" to my son, who was around 13 at the time. I hate to admit it, but I thought it showed a lot of class.

I have a 200 mile drive to Cincy, but I try to make it down for a game once a year. I love the stadium. I've sat in some really good seats and the "cheap seats. Never had any problem with other fans. Parking is a problem. The best solution I have found is to park at the Aquarium in Newport and jump on a game-day bus for a 5 minute ride to the stadium.

On a side note, tomorrow my son, who is now 18, will be going to the game with his girlfriend. (She bought the tickets) So after 10 or 12 years of me taking him to games, this will be his first game w/o his dad. I hope he misses me!

Clues that this column is a complete joke...

1. The writer mentions the weather as being a positive (Tampa) and a negative (Miami) against a stadium. Uh, who gets the credit/blame for that?

2. The word "tailgate" appears nowhere in the article.

If you want to criticize a stadium's parking, or quality of food, or number of ATM's, fine. But don't pretend you're reviewing the game-going experience of a typical, non-media person who's there to watch his favorite team with a few thousand of his fellow fans.

The article is about one person's tastes, nothing more. And even for that, it's poorly done. Read the Bill Simmons column from a few weeks ago about his trip to Milwaukee and Green Bay. That's how you're supposed to write a lifestyle piece about sports stadiums. It also happens to be very funny.

Whoever wrote that article just looked at the fact the we have a line to report jerks and assumed that it was so bad that in Cincinnati that the report a jerk line was needed, they assumed therefore that it must be bad in Cincinnati.

I doubt the guy that wrote the article was ever at Paul Brown Stadium.

The truth is we put in the line so our stadium would not turn into a stadium like Cleveland,Pittsburgh,Baltimore.

We also put it in so Bengals fans would have a way to report the Jerk fans from Cleve,Pit,Balt that are trying to start fights and acting like A-holes.
