Carson question

Seeing that we have the hardest schedule, this might not happen, but if we go into a game and spank a team in the first half, do you think they'll pull Palmer and rest him for the next game. Our backups looked pretty good. A heck of a lot better then Kitna did!

For the next game? No way. Tie-breakers will be huge in the AFC North -- remember, that's how we won the AFCN title. We need our best each week and Palmer hasn't shown any problems since playing against the Packers.

GO BUCKEYES!

...That's one thing Army, but he's saying take off the NEXT game.
Gee, I did not read it that way. I interpreted that statement to be, would you rest him in preparation for the next game, pulling him in the second half of a game the Bengals are blowing out the other guys . Reduce the risk, reduce the wear and tear. No logic in pulling him the next game cuz he is playing well

I agree, I think he meant to rest in preparation for the next game. Or to put it simply, do you take Carson out for garbage time? I say yes.

An interesting quandry though...if the playoff spots are finalized before the last game, you might expect the starters to get benched that last week. But this year, our last game is home against the Steelers. Can anybody imagine a scenario where Carson wouldn't play at least 3/4 of that game?

Considering that even though we were 11-5 last year, our average margin of victory last year was only 4.4 points per game... I'm going to assume that we aren't going to be blowing out a good Cheifs team in their house.

But in the event that we are up by 3 scores in the 4th quarter... yeah. Get him the hell out of there.

All right, let me clear things up. I didn't mean sit him the next game! Sit him the rest of the game to rest that knee. What about this question, we're undeafeated going into the last game. We made the playoffs. Do we bench him to rest prior to the playoffs, or do we play him to keep our record undefeated? I say we rest him.

Nice clear up there !!! On to the next question... Carson would want to play in the last game (assuming we were still undefeated) but it would probably be the smart thing to rest him, but I would want him to play and I would want to see us take a shot at history and there would be no better way to do that, than with Carson under center !!!

WHODEY !!!
