Mitchell to IR/Whitehead waived/IR

Per bengals.com, Anthony Mitchell was placed on IR, and Terrence Whitehead was waived, but with his toe injury, if he clears waivers he can also go to IR for the season.

Not too surprising all things considered. Whitehead had tough competition with Wilson and Dorsey playing well, and Watson still in the mix. Mitchell was a good special teams guy, but woud've had it tough to make the 53 man roster I think given they may only keep 4 safeties, or at best 5.

QWilson and DDDorsey both deserve a spot, the 1st game of the season I was like DD who?, but in the 2 preseason games he has impressed with running and catching the ball and with CPerry unable to stay healthy who knows, even though CPerry was a #1 pick do you save a roster spot for him and take a chance that you lose 1 of these young healthy runners or tell him see ya It has been fun...

I want to see Quincy and DeeDee against 1st teamers! Is DeeDee a girl getting scrub numbers against scrubs, or is he really that good?

DeDe was running between the tackles versus 2nd stringers last week for a while and did just fine.

The more you watch him, the more impressed you are with him. He's not the next great unknown or anything, but his speed and over-all ability would be an ideal replacement for Perry. Exciting player.

I can't imagine they'll let Marvin's Redskin lover boy go in Watson - but they should, that guy is just an injury waiting to happen and does nothing for this team another younger, cheaper guy couldn't give them.

Untill he shows what he has for the 1st stringers, he is nothing more than the best scrub on the feild at any given time. This also explains why Dougie Johnson has looked more like a QB than he usually does.
